Welcome to the Denon DHT-S218 Dolby Atmos Sound Bar. This guide will help you set up and start using your new soundbar for an immersive audio experience. Discover how to connect it to your TV, install batteries in the remote, and stream music via Bluetooth.

Positioning Your Soundbar:
For optimal sound, place the soundbar centrally below your TV, flush with the front edge of the cabinet. Wall-mounting options are also available; scan the QR code for instructions or consult your local Denon dealer.
Connecting to Your TV:
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the eARC/ARC port on your TV.
- Connect the other end to the eARC/ARC port on the soundbar.
Important: Ensure you use the HDMI port labeled "eARC" or "ARC" on your TV. If your TV lacks an "eARC" or "ARC" HDMI port, use the optical cable connection (note: this does not support Dolby Atmos).
Power Connection:
Connect the provided power cord to the soundbar and plug it into a wall outlet.
Remote Control Setup:
Slide open the back cover of the remote and insert the batteries, observing the correct polarity.
Operation
Initial Setup:
Turn on your TV and check that sound is playing through the soundbar. If there's no sound or an echo, verify that CEC and/or ARC functions are enabled in your TV's settings and that the TV's internal speakers are turned off.
Bluetooth Music Streaming:
- Press the Bluetooth button on the soundbar or remote to select "Bluetooth" as the input source. The indicator light will flash blue for pairing.
- On your device, open Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Select "Denon DHT-S218" to pair. The indicator light will turn solid blue upon successful pairing. For LE Audio, select "LE-Denon DHT-S218" if your device supports it.
- Play music from your preferred app.
To pair with other devices, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the indicator light flashes blue.
