Schematic Diagram
This section contains the detailed schematic diagram of the main PC board (NAAF-8829).
The diagram illustrates the interconnections of various components including resistors (R), capacitors (C), transistors (Q), diodes (D), integrated circuits (U), and fuses (F).
Key sections of the diagram are labeled:
- A: Main PC Board
- B: NAAF-8829
- C: NAAF-8830 (Frequency Adjustment)
- D: NAAF-8833 (Power Switch)
- E: U02 Frequency Adjustment PC Board
- F: Phase Switch (S101)
- G: Notes and Cautions
- H: PC Board Identifications (U03, U04, U05)
Important Notes:
- Components marked with ⚠ are critical for safety.
- Voltage measurements are DC unless otherwise specified.
- Transistor types are specified (e.g., NJM4558LD, 2SA949-Y, 2SC2240-BL).
- Capacitor values are in uF/WV or pF/50WV.
- Resistor values are in Ohms (1/4 Watt) unless otherwise noted.
- Thick lines on PC boards indicate the printing side of the parts.
- Circuit design is subject to change for improvement.
Caution: For continued protection against fire hazard, replace fuses only with the same type and rating indicated.
Printed Circuit Board Views
This section provides visual layouts of the component sides of various PC boards:
- U01 Main PC Board (NAAF-8829): Detailed component layout.
- U03 Power Transformer PC Board (NAPS-8831): Component layout with fuse information and AC connections.
- U02 Frequency Adjustment PC Board (NAAF-8830): Component layout with adjustment points and switches.

Adjustment Procedure: Adjustment of Idling Current
[When]
- Exchange transistors (Q505 - Q519).
- Exchange MAIN PC board ass'y (NAAF-8829).
[Procedure]
- Ensure no speaker load and no input signal.
- Short test point P631 when the amplifier is active.
- Adjust trimming resistor R544 so the multimeter reads 52 ohm to 53 ohm.
- Connect a DC voltmeter to test point P531.
- Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- After 6 to 8 minutes of heat running, confirm the voltage at test point P531.
- Voltage Adjustments:
- If voltage is less than 3.20 mV: Readjust R544 for 4.5 mV to 5.0 mV.
- If voltage is 3.30 mV to 5.20 mV: No adjustment needed.
- If voltage is 5.21 mV to 10.0 mV: Readjust R544 for 5.0 mV to 5.5 mV.
- If voltage is 10.1 mV to 20.0 mV: Readjust R544 for 5.6 mV to 6.0 mV.
- Press the POWER button to turn off the unit.
- Disconnect the DC voltmeter.
- Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet.
