Quick Guide
Device Overview
The Savox TRICS® is a Tactical Radio and Intercom Controller designed for robust communication in demanding environments.
Key Components:
- Microphone: Integrated microphone for voice transmission.
- PTT Buttons: PTT 1, PTT 2, PTT 3, PTT 4 for transmitting on different channels or functions.
- Speaker: Built-in speaker for audio output.
- Headset Port: Connection for external headsets.
- Radio Ports (COM 1, COM 2): Connectors for radio communication cables.
- Connector Dust Caps: Protective covers for unused ports.
- VOL Button: Controls menu navigation (Up/Down).
- ON/OFF/Menu Button: Press for 3 seconds to turn the device ON or OFF. Short press to access the menu.
- Answer/End/Redial/Reject Button: For managing mobile calls.

Wireless Controller (WIC)
Pairing WIC
- Set the TRICS device into pairing mode. Select PTT 1, 2, or 3 on the TRICS.
- Press the WIC button for 1 second to activate it. Then, press it again for pairing until the TRICS announces "pairing completed".
Reset Pairing on WIC
- Pull out the locking pin (1).
- Take out the battery (2).
- Press and hold the button for 10 seconds.
- Insert the battery (ensure minus polarity is upwards).
- Clear pairing for TRICS: Navigate to the Menu, select "clear all pairing", and confirm.
- Redo the WIC pairing process from step 1 above.
Charging
Charge the device by connecting the radio cable to the device and attaching the magnetic USB cable to the radio cable. Alternatively, use a separately purchased charging cable.

Operational Failure
If the device experiences operational failure:
- Check the battery status ?.
- Disconnect and reconnect the cable and headset ?.
- Navigate to the Menu and select "factory reset" ⚙️.

Fastening Alternatives
The device can be fastened using a clothing clip or a mobile bracket.

Communication Cable Alternatives
The TRICS supports different communication cable configurations:
- Dual radio connection: Connects to COM1 and COM2, includes a charging connector.
- Single radio connection: Connects to COM1 or COM2.

Ensure proper connection of the headset and radio.
Menu Navigation and Functions
Access the menu by a short press on the Menu button. Scroll through options using the VOL (Up/Down) buttons. Confirm selections with the Menu button.
Menu Options:
- POC MODE: Select transmission mode (PTT 1, PTT 2, Stereo, Mono, All left, All right, OFF).
- HEADSET AUDIO ROUTING: (Covered by POC MODE selection).
- VOICE AMPLIFIER: Turn ON/OFF and adjust Volume (Low, Mid, High).
- TEAM CALL: Activate or Deactivate team call functionality.
- INTERNAL SPEAKER: Set to ON, Always ON, or OFF.
- WIRELESS PTT PAIRING: Pair with PTT 1, PTT 2, PTT 3, or clear all pairings.
- BLUETOOTH: Turn ON/OFF, Enter pairing mode, or Disconnect.
- FACTORY SETTINGS:
- Language: Select English or German.
- Audio boost: Adjust audio levels (0 dB, +3 dB, +6 dB, +9 dB).
- Firmware version: View current firmware.
- Factory reset: Reset the device to factory defaults using the RESET button.

WARNING: Do not charge the battery at temperatures outside the range of 0...+45°C. Doing so may result in incomplete charging and severely reduced battery lifetime.
