Introduction
The Aputure Spotlight Mini is a precision projection attachment designed for Mini ProLock fixtures such as the STORM 80c. This compact modifier features interchangeable 19° or 36° lenses* for shaping and focusing light with high accuracy. Constructed with a durable metal body and lightweight fiberglass lens chassis, the Spotlight Mini includes four-leaf shutters for cutting and shaping the beam, a gel holder, a gobo holder, and 10 included M-size gobo patterns. The fixture also supports 360° barrel rotation, enabling flexible adjustment of both shutter position and gobo orientation.

Installation and Operation Instructions
1. Installing the Spotlight Mini
Installing on a Light Stand
- Mount the Spotlight Mini onto a compatible light stand. (See Figure 1)
- Rotate the tilt-lock handle in the direction shown in Figure 2 to secure the yoke in place.
- Insert the Spotlight Mini into the Mini ProLock mount on the STORM 80c and rotate the locking handle to secure it, as shown in Figure 3.
- Connect the adapter and power cable to the fixture, and turn on the light to begin use.
Note: Always ensure the lighting fixture is powered off before installing or removing the Spotlight Mini.

Installing Using the 3/8-16in Screw Mount
- The Spotlight Mini features a 3/8"-16 mounting point with anti-twist sockets for secure rigging.
- When rigging the Spotlight Mini using the 3/8"-16 mount, always attach a safety cable as an additional safety precaution.
- For increased stability, the 3/8"-16 mounts on the STORM 80c can also serve as supplementary mounting points.

2. Installing, Removing, & Focusing the Spotlight Mini Lens
Installing the Lens
- If necessary, loosen and remove the focus locking knob from the body of the Spotlight Mini.
- Align the lens with the slot, and insert it into the body of the Spotlight Mini.
- Once fully inserted, reattach and tighten the focus locking knob to secure the lens.

Removing the Lens
- Loosen and remove the focus locking knob.
- Carefully remove the lens from the body of the Spotlight Mini.

Focusing the Lens
Adjust the clarity of the projected image by sliding the lens forward or backward, then tighten the focus locking knob to secure the position.
Tip: The minimum focusing distance for both the 19° and 36° lenses is 70 cm. For optimal image clarity, a focusing distance of 3m is recommended.
3. Installing the Gobo Holder (M-Size)
- Insert an M-size Gobo (compatible with both metal and glass types) into the Gobo Holder, as shown in Figure 6.
- Insert the Gobo Holder into the Gobo Slot on the Spotlight Mini, as shown in Figure 7.
- Ensure the Gobo Holder is oriented correctly for smooth operation—its handle should face the Iris slot for proper alignment.
Note: Some components may deform slightly or show signs of smoke or discoloration after prolonged exposure to high temperatures. This is expected behavior. However, melting plastic parts or excessive smoke is considered abnormal and may indicate a malfunction.

4. Installing the Iris (M-Size) (sold separately)
- Insert the M-size Iris into the Iris slot on the Spotlight Mini in Figure 8.
- Adjust the Iris handle to control the size of the aperture and achieve the desired beam shape.
Note: The Iris is not included and must be purchased separately. To avoid injury, do not place your fingers inside the Iris while adjusting.

5. Installing the Gel Holder
- As shown in Figure 9, lift and rotate the spring-loaded latch to open the gel holder slot.
- Insert the Gel Holder into the slot, as shown in Figure 10.
- Rotate the spring-loaded latch back to its original position to secure the Gel Holder in place.

6. Operating the Four-Leaf Shutters
The Spotlight Mini is equipped with four internal shaping shutters that allow precise control over the beam shape. Each shutter can be independently adjusted by sliding it in and out to control the shape, or by rotating each shutter to change the angle of the cut.

7. Operating the 360° Rotating Barrel
The Spotlight Mini features a 360° rotating barrel, allowing you to freely rotate the projection assembly to adjust the orientation of the gobo pattern or the angle of the four-leaf shutters. 1) Grab the body and rotate the barrel to the desired angle. 2) Use the degree markings to accurately reference and reproduce rotation positions for consistent framing.
