ATEN AI Audio Mixer | MicLIVE™ 6-CH Quick Start Guide
Product Overview
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using the ATEN MicLIVE™ 6-CH AI Audio Mixer (UC8000) to create podcasts and manage audio.
The mixer features multiple inputs for microphones, instruments, and auxiliary audio sources, along with outputs for monitoring and connecting to a host device.
Connection Guide
Follow these steps to connect your ATEN MicLIVE™ 6-CH AI Audio Mixer:
- Step 1: Connect Sub Audio (BGM) - Connect an auxiliary audio source, such as a music player or background music (BGM) source, to the designated input.
- Step 2: Connect Main Audio (Microphone / Instrument) - Connect your primary audio sources, like a microphone (e.g., XLR) or musical instrument, to the main input ports.
- Step 3: Connect Host (for Power + Audio In & Out) - Connect the mixer to your host device (e.g., computer) using the USB-C cable. This provides power and handles audio input/output. Note: Enable +48V phantom power if using condenser microphones.
- Step 4: Connect Headphones - Plug your headphones into the headphone output jack for monitoring.
Key Operations
After connecting, you can configure the mixer's functions:
- Step 5: Adjust Input Levels - Use the input level controls to set the appropriate volume for each connected audio source.
- Step 6: Adjust Output Volume - Adjust the main output volume to control the overall sound level sent to your host device or speakers.
- Step 7: Apply Voice FX Modes (Optional) - Select and apply one of the four available Voice FX modes to alter your voice or audio.
- Step 8: Enable Auto Ducking (Optional) - Activate the auto ducking feature to automatically lower the volume of inputs 3 and 4 when a primary voice source is active. This is useful for automatically reducing background music during speech.
- Step 9: Apply Jingle (Optional) - Add a pre-recorded jingle or sound effect to your audio output.
TIP: When the indicator light is red, the mixer is sending the audio mix to the host device.
Note: When setting up AI features, speak while mimicking your intended application scenario.
