SAFETY MESSAGES TO INSTALLERS AND USERS : It is important to follow all instructions shipped with this product. This device is to be installed by a trained electrician who is thoroughly familiar with the National Electrical Code and/or Canadian Electrical Code and will follow the NEC and/or CEC Guidelines as well as all local codes. This device should be considered a part of the warning system and not the entire warning system.
The selection of the mounting location for the device, its controls, and the routing of the wiring are to be accomplished under the direction of the facilities engineer and the safety engineer. Listed below are some other important safety instructions and precautions you should follow:
· Read and understand all instructions before installing or operating the equipment.
· To avoid electrical shock hazards, do not connect wires when power is applied.
· In order to be an effective warning device, this product produces bright light that can be hazardous to your eyesight. The possibility exists that rapid flashing lights could induce photosensitive epilepsy. Do not stare directly at the light.
· Keep the unit tightly closed when in operation.
· Never alter the unit in any manner. Safety in hazardous locations may be endangered if additional openings or alternations are made.
· After testing is complete, provide a copy of this instruction sheet to all operating personnel.
· Establish a procedure to routinely check the light installation for integrity and proper operation.
Failure to follow all safety precautions and instructions may result in property damage, serious injury, or death to you or others.
Overview -- Model FB2LEDX-QC is a high-powered, multi-colored, and multi-flash pattern LED signal that can produce four different colors and three different flash patterns in one unit. The available colors are amber, blue, green, and red, and the available flash patterns include steady, 60 FPM, and simulated strobe. It is available in 12-24 Vdc or 120-240 Vac.

5.76" / 146.37 mm

The Model FB2LEDX-QC-S status indicator is a multicolored, multi-flash pattern LED, and uses a reduced light output opaque lens ideal for close proximity status indication applications. It can produce four different colors and three different flash patterns in one unit. The available colors are amber, blue, green, and red, and the available flash patterns include steady, 60 FPM, and simulated strobe
EXPLOSION HAZARD -- Damaged domes can cause explosions, resulting in serious injury or death.
Unpacking the Device -- After unpacking the device, examine it for damage and verify parts. The unit comes with: (1) FB2LEDX-QC series assembled unit with flying leads, (1) Panel mount gasket, and (3) No. 8 x 1/2" panel mounting tapping screws. 4.80" / 121.79 mm Impact-Resistant Fresnel Dome
LED PCBA Black Stainless Steel Wire Guard
1/2" NPT Pipe Mount and 3-hole Surface Mount
Series FB2LEDX-QC comes standard to mount on a flat (horizontal or vertical) surface or 1/2" NPT threaded pipe. Wall mounting bracket (LHWB) sold separately.
· Pipe Mounting: Series FB2LEDX-QC can be pipe mounted on a 1/2" NPT pipe. Feed wires through pipe and turn clockwise to tighten. Recommended tightening torque is 5-ft-lb (6.8 N-m).
· Surface/Panel Mounting: Using the provided gasket as a template, mark three mounting holes and a center hole for wiring. Drill or punch 0.188" (5.0 mm) diameter holes for mounting and a 0.88" (22.0 mm) hole for wiring. Set the base on the gasket, feed the wires through the center hole, and attach the unit to the mounting surface using the provided No. 8 tapping screws from the underside.

Making the electrical connections

WARNING -- SHOCK HAZARD: To avoid electrical shock, do not connect wires when circuits are energized.
12-24 Vdc models Connect the power source positive (+) lead to the solidcolored red wire and connect the power source negative (-) lead to the solid-colored black wire.
120-240 Vac 50/60 Hz models Connect the line (L or L1) power source lead to the solid-colored black wire and connect the neutral (N or L2) power source lead to the solid-colored gray wire. Connect ground to the green/yellow wire if required.
Electrical Connections for Color/Flash Pattern Combinations Models FB2LEDX-QC and FB2LEDX-QS-S can produce 12 different color/flash pattern combinations. The color/ flash pattern wires are white striped and are distinct from the solid-colored power wires. Use the table below to achieve desired color/flash pattern combination.
