Hardware Installation
Follow these steps to install your GCS1942H/GCS1944H KVMP Switch:
- Ground the GCS1942H/GCS1944H by connecting one end of a grounding wire to the Grounding Terminal (J) and the other end to a suitable grounding object.
- Connect the USB keyboard and mouse to the GCS1942H/GCS1944H console USB ports (E).
- Connect the two HDMI monitors to the GCS1942H/GCS1944H console HDMI ports (F).
- Turn the monitors' power to ON.
- Connect the main microphone and speakers into the GCS1942H/GCS1944H microphone and speaker jacks located on the front side panel (C).
- Connect the secondary microphone and speakers into the GCS1942H/GCS1944H microphone and speaker jacks located on the rear side panel (C).
- Connect the HDMI connectors from the computers into any available HDMI ports in the KVM Port section (F) on the switch. Connect the USB, microphone, and speaker connectors from the computers into the corresponding ports on the GCS1942H/GCS1944H. Connect the other end of these cables to their respective HDMI, USB, microphone, and speaker ports on the computers.
- Connect up to 2 USB peripherals into the USB 3.0 Type-A ports (D) on the front and rear panels of the GCS1942H/GCS1944H.
- (Optional) Plug the Remote Control Switch into the Remote Port Selector Jack (I) for port switching.
- Connect the power adapter to an AC power source. Then, connect the power adapter cable to the GCS1942H/GCS1944H power jack (G).
- Turn all connected computers' power to ON.

Operation
Switch Operation
Switching between connected computer sources can be done in several ways:
- Manual: Press the port selection pushbuttons (A) located on the front panel of the GCS1942H/GCS1944H.
- Hotkey: Enter specific keyboard combinations. A list of complete Hotkey Settings is available in the full manual on the IOGEAR website.
- Mouse: Click the mouse wheel button twice to switch between ports.
- Remote Switch: Click the included remote switch button.
