Note 2These guidelines may not be applicable to all situations. Electromagnetic progagation is influenced by the absorption and reflection of buildings, objects, and human bodies. a. Fixed RF transmitters such as wireless (cellular/cordless) telephones, ground-based mobile radio broadcasts, have unpredictable field strengths that cannot be accurately determined theoretically. To assess the electromagnetic environment of fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic field survey should be conducted. If the measured field strengh at the location of the surgical shadowless lamp exceeds the aforementioned RF compliance levels, the performance of the shadowless lamp should be observed to verify its proper operation. If abnormal performance is observed, supplementary measures may be necessary, such as repositioning or reorienting the surgical shadowless lamp. b. Across the entire frequency range of 150kHz to 80MHz, the field strength should be below 3V/m.

The shadowless lamp is intended to be used in an electromagnetic environment with controlled

radiation disturbances. Based on the maximum output power of the communication equipment, users

can prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and

mobile RF communication devices and this medical device.
