Honeywell BW™ RigRat: Portable Multi-Gas Area Monitor
The Honeywell BW™ RigRat is a portable multi-gas area monitor designed to keep safety regulations in check and protect workers with the most user-friendly area monitoring device of its kind.
Product Overview
The Honeywell BW™ RigRat is designed for ease of use, allowing workers to rely on it to warn them of gas hazards in their vicinity. It operates effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments, across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F).
Key benefits include:
- Up to 8 weeks of runtime on a single charge, offering longer operational life than any other area monitor in its class.
- Flexible applications, suitable for zone release, turnarounds, confined spaces, routine maintenance, boundary monitoring, and more. Available with a pump for remote sampling.
- Up to six sensor slots for interchangeable gas sensors, offering a choice of electrochemical, PID, infrared, and thermal conductivity sensors (measuring in % LEL and Vol.-%).
- Integrated noise sensor and sensors for meteorological data.
- Highly configurable with programmable inputs and outputs.
- Certified for explosive atmospheres (ATEX/IECEx Zone 0 and CSA C1D1).
- One-button operation for immediate use without requiring specialized knowledge.
- Easy smartphone setup via a mobile app for alarm setpoints, calibration data, and more.
- Provides additional protection by warning workers of nearby gas leaks, complementing personal detectors that only cover the breathing zone.
