Failure to insert the battery correctly will result in no illuminationofthechargerLEDandnochargingwilltakeplace. Once a battery is correctly inserted the charger will determine the chemistry of the battery and commence the charge cycle. A steady red LED indicates the battery has entered its rapid charge state and will continue until the charger calculates it is nearing full capcity.
