Using Your Keyboard
Keyboard Backlighting
The keyboard features automatic backlighting that adjusts to ambient light levels. There are three intensity levels:
- Bright light: No keyboard illumination.
- Poor light: Full intensity backlight.
- Dark: Half intensity backlight.
You can manually override the automatic setting by pressing the [sun icon] key to cycle through the intensity levels.
Please note:
- Backlighting turns off automatically when the battery charge is low to conserve power.
- Automatic backlight control is restored after the keyboard is idle for 30 minutes or more, or after being turned off and back on.
Touchpad Gestures
Note: To disable touchpad gestures and tap-to-click, press the Fn key plus the left mouse click button. To re-enable them, press the Fn key plus the left mouse click button again.
Recharging Your Keyboard
Your keyboard is rechargeable. A full charge provides up to 10 days of use (with backlight on, typing ~2 hours/day) or about one year (without backlight).
The battery indicator shows the charge level when the keyboard is turned on.
Indicator | Explanation |
---|---|
Blinking green | The battery is charging. |
Solid green | The battery has adequate charge, or charging is complete. |
Blinking red | Battery power is low. Recharge the battery. |
To charge, connect the keyboard to a computer using the supplied Micro-USB charging cable. The battery indicator will blink green during charging. Charge until the indicator light stops blinking. You can use the keyboard while it charges.
Note: If the battery power is low (indicator blinking red), the keyboard backlight is disabled.

The keyboard includes dedicated function keys (F1-F12) and hot keys.

The Logitech Unifying Receiver
Your new Logitech product includes a Unifying receiver, allowing for a single USB port to connect multiple compatible Logitech devices.
Getting Started is Easy
- Make sure your Unifying receiver is plugged in.
- If you haven't already, download and install the Logitech software for your keyboard.
- Start the software and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the new wireless device with your existing Unifying receiver.
Plug it. Forget it. Add to it.
You can add compatible Logitech wireless devices that use the Unifying system to the same receiver. Look for the orange Unifying logo on devices or their packaging. This allows you to build your ideal setup using only one USB port for up to six devices.
