Overview

The FireLink fire alarm control panel / communicator (FACP) can be programmed using two methods:

  1. Easy Default Program: Suitable for sprinkler supervisory or basic conventional fire applications. No control panel programming is required. After installation and power-up, program central station communication information via the NAPCO StarLink NOC.
  2. Advanced Programming: For applications beyond the default program. This method allows for programming Over The Air using NAPCO PCDWindows Quickloader software. It supports analog addressable, wireless, and conventional expansion up to 32 zones.

Easy Default Programming Steps

This method utilizes the system's default program settings:

  1. Log into the NAPCO StarLink NOC.
  2. Enter the Radio ID #.
  3. In the General tab, click 'Edit'.
  4. Enable 'DEALER ENTERED PROGRAMMING - ON/OFF' using the radio button .
  5. Enter the following details:
    • Primary Central Station Telephone #
    • Central Station Account #
    • Format for Reporting Radio Supv. Signal: Contact ID
    • Poll Fail Timeout: (Set according to selected Service Plan, e.g., 60 min for NFPA 2013 60 min plan)
    • Polling Rate/Debounce Time: (Automatically set based on Service Plan, e.g., 30 min for NFPA 2013 60 min plan)
  6. Click 'Save'.
  7. Test communications.

Advanced Programming

Before advanced programming, ensure NAPCO PCD-Windows Quickloader software is installed on your computer, connected to the Internet, and configured for remote StarLink programming (requires StarLink password and username from Dealer Settings).

Advanced Programming Steps:

  1. Launch Quickloader.
  2. Click 'New'.
  3. Enter the Account Number and click 'OK'.
  4. For NAPCO control panels, select:
    • Napco Panel: FireWolf
    • Product Type: FireWolf: (Commercial Fire (Local))
    • Panel Configuration: 32 Zones with 2 Panel NACs
  5. Enter the control panel Master Security Code and click 'OK'.
  6. Click the GPRS icon.
  7. Enable the radio by typing the ID number in the GPRS ID field.
  8. Select 'Upload from Panel' to upload the control panel program. The default program includes the following zone attributes:
    • Zone 1: Waterflow, CID Code E113
    • Zone 2: Supervisory (Tamper), CID Code E200
    • Zone 3-7: Conventional Fire Zone, CID Code E110
    • Zone 8: Supervisory (Cell/IP Communicator Trouble), CID Code E200
    • NAC A: Enabled for Zones 1, 3-7
    • NAC D: Enabled for Zone 1 Waterflow
  9. Navigate to the 'Digital Communications' screen, 'Subscriber ID Numbers' tab. Enter the central station telephone number and account number for Area 1 and System.
  10. Select communication format as 'Contact ID'.
  11. Program any other required parameters for your application.
  12. Download the program into the FACP.
  13. Test communications.

NAPCO Limited Warranty

NAPCO SECURITY SYSTEMS, INC. (NAPCO) warrants its products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for thirty-six months from the date of manufacture. NAPCO will, at its option, repair or replace any product that fails to operate correctly without charge to the original purchaser or user during this period.

This warranty does not apply to equipment that has been repaired by others, improperly installed, used, abused, altered, damaged, subjected to acts of God, or has had its serial numbers altered, defaced, or removed. Seller is not responsible for dismantling or reinstallation charges.

There are no warranties, express or implied, beyond those described. There is no implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty is in lieu of all other obligations or liabilities of NAPCO.

Any claim for breach of warranty must be brought within six months following the end of the warranty period. NAPCO is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages for breach of warranty, even if caused by NAPCO's negligence.

For warranty service, contact the security professional who installed and maintains your system. The product must be returned by the security professional, with shipping costs prepaid and insured, to NAPCO. NAPCO covers the cost of returning warranted products after repair or replacement.

NAPCO is not obligated under this warranty if the product has been improperly repaired, installed, used, abused, altered, damaged, subjected to accident, nuisance, flood, fire, or acts of God, or if serial numbers have been altered, defaced, or removed. NAPCO is not responsible for dismantling, reassembly, or reinstallation charges.

This warranty constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements or representations. NAPCO does not authorize any other person to modify or assume any other warranty or liability concerning its products.

NAPCO's liability shall not exceed the original selling price of the product for any loss or damage. Seller's rendering of technical advice or service does not enlarge, diminish, or affect this warranty.

Recommendation: NAPCO recommends weekly testing of the entire system.

Warning: Despite testing, systems may fail due to tampering, electrical or communications disruption, or other factors. NAPCO does not guarantee that the product/system cannot be compromised or circumvented, or that it will prevent personal injury or property loss. A properly installed and maintained alarm may reduce risk but is not insurance or a guarantee against events like burglary, robbery, or fire.

NAPCO shall have no liability for personal injury, property damage, or other loss if the product fails to give warning. Installers should advise consumers to take all safety precautions, including fleeing the premises and contacting emergency services.

NAPCO is not an insurer of property or safety and limits its liability to the original selling price of the product, regardless of the cause of loss or damage. Some states may have different limitations on implied warranties or incidental/consequential damages.

This warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
