Product Overview

The XINOWY S8 is a helmet-based Bluetooth intercom system designed for motorcycle riders. It offers stable performance with a maximum intercom call distance of 1200m in outdoor environments (typically 500m-1200m). As a high-performance Bluetooth earphone with a 50m range, it supports automatic call answering, waterproofing (IPX6), and high-resolution voice. Its primary purpose is to enhance riding safety.

Remarks

  • Automatic shutdown occurs after 25 minutes of inactivity (except in FM mode).
  • Function priority: Call > Intercom Talk > GPS/FM/Music.

Installation Steps

Follow these steps to install the S8 on your helmet:

  1. Fix the intercom on the helmet seat: Attach the main intercom unit to the designated mounting bracket or seat on the helmet.
  2. Attach to the helmet: Secure the unit to the helmet using the provided magic tape. Choose between a hard or soft microphone based on your preference and helmet design.
  3. Manage cables: Route the cables neatly inside the helmet, tucking them into the foam padding for a clean and comfortable fit.

Operation Guide

1. Power On/Off ?

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power key for 2 seconds. Voice prompt: "Power On" + battery status. Indicator: Blue light flashes once every 4 seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power key for 4 seconds. Indicator: Red light is ON for 1 second.

2. Low-Power Alarm ?

When battery power drops below 3.4V, a voice prompt "insufficient battery power" is issued every 3 minutes, and the red light flashes twice every 3 minutes.

3. Pairing

  • Initial Pairing: With the device off, press and hold the Power key for approximately 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. Voice prompt: "in the pairing". Indicator: Red and blue lights flash alternately every 500ms.
  • Cancel Pairing: While in pairing mode, press and hold the Multifunctional key for 2 seconds to cancel. Indicator: Blue light flashes once every 4 seconds.
  • Second Pairing: With the device on, press and hold the Multifunctional key for 5 seconds to enter second pairing mode. Voice prompt: "in the pairing". Indicator: Red and blue lights flash alternately every 500ms.
  • Clear Pairing Record: With the device on, press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds to shut down, then immediately press and hold it for about 3 seconds. Voice prompt: long "beep". Indicator: Red light flashes three times every 300ms.

4. Scanning ?

In pairing status, press the Power key to initiate active scanning. Voice prompt: "in searching". Indicator: Blue light flashes quickly every 300ms.

5. Intercom Talk Connection ?️

  • Start Talk: After successful pairing, press the Power key once on either device to connect. Voice prompt: "the bottom circuit beeps + the talk has been connected". Indicator: Blue light is ON for 1 second, then OFF for 1 second.
  • Stop Talk: In talk status, press the Power key on any device. Voice prompt: long "beep". Indicator: Blue light flashes twice every 4 seconds.

6. Mobile Phone Connection (GPS/MP3) ?

  • Connect: In pairing status, use your mobile phone's Bluetooth to scan. Select the S8 device when found. Voice prompt: "mobile phone has been connected". Indicator: Blue light flashes twice every 4 seconds.
  • Disconnect: While connected, disable Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Voice prompt: long "beep". Indicator: Blue light flashes once every 4 seconds.

7. Intercom Talk Reconnection ?

  • Automatic Reconnection: If the intercom signal is interrupted, it will attempt to reconnect automatically. Voice prompt: "the underlying link beeps + the talk has been connected". Indicator: Blue light flashes twice every 4 seconds.
  • Manual Reconnection (Unsuccessful Auto): If automatic reconnection fails, press the Power key once after 10 seconds. Indicator: Blue light flashes quickly every 300ms. If still unsuccessful after 45 seconds of interruption, press the Power key once. Voice prompt: long "beep". Indicator: Blue light flashes quickly every 300ms.

8. Mobile Phone Reconnection ?

  • Forced Reconnect: In the ON status, press the Power key once to force reconnection with the previously paired mobile phone.
  • Disconnect & Re-pair: In pairing status, disconnect the current mobile phone. A new pairing is required to reconnect.
  • Unsuccessful Mobile Reconnect: If reconnection fails in ON status, press the Multifunctional key once. Voice prompt: "mobile phone has been connected". Indicator: Blue light flashes twice every 4 seconds.

9. Music Control ?

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multifunctional key ▶️⏸️.
  • Volume Up: Turn the Multifunctional key clockwise ⬆️.
  • Volume Down: Turn the Multifunctional key counterclockwise ⬇️.
  • Previous Song: Turn and hold the Multifunctional key clockwise for 2 seconds.
  • Next Song: Turn and hold the Multifunctional key counterclockwise for 2 seconds.

10. Incoming Call Handling ?

  • Answer Call: For an incoming call, the device can auto-answer after 8 seconds (indicator: Blue light ON for 1s, OFF for 1s), or you can press the Multifunctional key to answer immediately.
  • Refuse Call: During an incoming call, press and hold the Multifunctional key for 2 seconds to refuse. Indicator: Blue light ON for 4s, flashes twice.
  • Hang Up Call: During an active call, press the Multifunctional key. Indicator: Blue light ON for 1s, OFF for 1s.
  • Redial Last Number: While the mobile phone is connected, double-click the Multifunctional key. Indicator: Blue light ON for 1s, OFF for 1s.
  • Voice Assistant: While the mobile phone is connected, press and hold the Multifunctional key for 1.5 seconds to activate the voice assistant. Indicator: Blue light flashes twice every 4 seconds.

11. Radio (FM) ?

  • Start Radio: In ON status, press the Power key + Multifunctional key. Voice prompt: "Turn on the radio". Indicator: Blue light ON and flashes once per 4 seconds.
  • Volume Up: During radio playback, turn the Multifunctional key clockwise ⬆️.
  • Volume Down: During radio playback, turn the Multifunctional key counterclockwise ⬇️.
  • Scan Up: Turn and hold the Multifunctional key clockwise for 2 seconds to automatically scan for the next station.
  • Scan Down: Turn and hold the Multifunctional key counterclockwise for 2 seconds to automatically scan for the previous station.

12. Language Switching ?

In pairing status, double-click the Multifunctional key to switch voice prompts between Chinese and English. Indicator: Blue light flashes quickly twice in 300ms.

13. Battery Power Status ?

  • Sufficient: Above 3.76V. Voice prompt: "sufficient battery power".
  • Medium: Between 3.76V and 3.4V. Voice prompt: "medium battery power".
  • Insufficient: Below 3.4V. Voice prompt: "insufficient battery power". Indicator: Red light flashes twice every 3 minutes.

14. Charging ⚡

  • During charging, the red light is ON.
  • When fully charged, the red light turns OFF.
