Introduction
VORMOR Scanner is an AI product that integrates image stitching, OCR, text translation, voice, and other technologies. It effectively solves language barriers in scenarios such as overseas travel, foreign language learning, and business communication.

Button and Screen Operations
Power button: Press and hold for over 3 seconds to power on/off or restart. Short press to wake up or standby.
Volume button (shared Voice button): Short press the Voice blue/red button to adjust volume.
Return button (shared AI button): Short press the device's "Round button" or tap the return icon "<" to return.
Touchscreen: Tap to select functions. In function interfaces, press and hold the left side and slide right to select; press and hold the right side and slide left to return.
Voice blue/red key: Used for voice translation. Corresponds to the screen's blue/red language. Long-press to speak, then release to see the translation result and broadcast.
Preparation Before Use
- Device Charging: Ensure sufficient power. Use the provided Type-C cable. Charge for at least one hour or until sufficient. A charging logo and battery percentage appear on screen when charging while off. A "lightning" symbol ⚡ indicates charging when the device is on.
- Network Connection: Go to Settings > WIFI to connect. Networked state improves performance (WIFI or mobile hotspot).
- Interface Language: Go to Settings > Interface Language to select the operating interface language (e.g., Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese).
- Scan Operation:
- Hold the device inclined at 45-80 degrees to the plane, aligning the front sight with the text centerline.
- Press the pentip ?️. When the light turns on, drag the pentip to scan at a constant speed, keeping the light on.
- Aim the crosshair ➕ at the blank space before the first letter. After passing the last letter, lift the pen.
- View results and tap the screen for operations.
- Offline Use: Supports offline electronic dictionary, scanning, and translation. Internet connection is recommended for better performance.
- Status Information: The top of the screen displays status like WIFI, power, and charging status.
Main Functions
Note: If the pen is used directly from the main interface, the electronic dictionary function is activated by default.
7.1 Scan Translation
Supports 56 languages for multilingual scan translation. Select languages to scan and translate. Results display automatically.
7.2 Phonetic Translation
Supports online scanning and reading up to 112 languages (more with upgrades). Set languages, long-press the voice button, speak, and release. Results display and broadcast.
7.3 Photo Translation
Before taking a photo, select the text language and desired translation language. Translation results are displayed on screen after completion.
7.4 Text Excerpt
Supports multi-language text excerpts. Import to a computer via USB cable for viewing and editing. Select language, tap the "plus" sign ➕, and scan. To upload, tap the "upload sign" ⬆️, connect via USB, and find saved text in "ExcerptFile".
7.5 Recording
Click the "red" button ? to start recording. Click the save icon ? to save.
7.6 Scan Translation (Dictionary)
Currently supports Chinese-English and English-Chinese dictionaries, Chinese idioms, and Tang poetry. Set language, vertically scan text, and save favorites.
7.7 Favorites
View saved favorite words.
7.8 MP3
Supports MP3 audio files. Download to the "Music" folder on the device memory and play.
Settings
- WIFI: Connect for better performance.
- Volume: Adjust volume.
- Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
- Bluetooth: Connect audio devices like headsets and speakers.
- Language: Select operating interface language (e.g., Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese).
- Holding Pen Direction: Suitable for left or right-hand pen holding habits.
- Upgrade: Check for and install newer software versions.
- About: View device model, SN number, software version, and other information.
Precautions
- Do not operate during software upgrades (download, installation, restart).
- Connect to a network for better performance; network quality affects usage.
- When scanning, hold the device inclined at 75-90 degrees, aim the front sight at the text center, and scan at a constant speed. Retry if recognition is inaccurate.
- Aim the front sight at the blank space before the first letter. Lift the pen after passing the last letter.
- For voice translation, maintain a distance of within 30cm ? between mouth and MIC for best results.
- Speak coherently at a normal speed without multiple pauses for accurate translation.
- Use standard pronunciation; avoid slang or mantras.
- Verify recognition results on screen; manual input and editing are possible for errors.
- If words are recognized but translation is inaccurate, rephrase the expression.
Exception Handling
- Forced Shutdown: Long-press the power button for over 10 seconds if the device crashes or cannot shut down normally. It will force shutdown and restart.
- Restore Factory Settings: Use "Setting > Reset" to clear usage records and local cache data.

Caveats
- Do not use in gas stations, fuel depots, or other prohibited electronic equipment areas to avoid explosion or fire.
- Do not use unapproved or incompatible power supplies/chargers, which may cause fire, explosion, or hazards.
- Disconnect the charger when charging is complete or not charging.
- Avoid excessively high or low temperatures, heat sources (ovens, electric heaters), or fire. Lithium batteries should not be exposed to sunlight, fire, or similar overheated environments.
- Prevent children or pets from swallowing the device or accessories to avoid injury.

Text Reading
Supports reading English text. Before scanning, choose to read sentences or words. Enter settings (⚙️) > Add mode for settings. When selecting a sentence, click the first word after scanning; the pen will play it sequentially. For words, click a word, scan with the pen to play. Click the second icon ℹ️ to view word explanation/analysis. Click the third icon ⭐ to collect. Click the fourth icon ? to view included words. Use the trash can icon ?️ to delete.
Collins Dictionary
Starting from a 60-90 degree angle with the paper, scan using the Collins Dictionary to save favorite words.
Warranty Regulations
The free warranty period is 12 months. Faults from normal use according to the manual will be repaired free of charge by VORMOR or authorized personnel. The following are not covered:
- Inability to provide warranty certificate and valid purchase proof.
- Unauthorized maintenance, misuse, collision, negligence, abuse, accident, or incorrect use.
- Damage from prolonged exposure to strong light, fire, or similar overheating environments.
- Machine damage or performance failure caused by human factors like water ingress.
- Losses from using unqualified power supplies and adapters above 5V/2A.
VORMOR is not responsible for any special, accidental, or indirect loss and damage.
