Do not allow children to play. It is highly recommended that you go to a professional car modification service shop for replacement installation. ASSEMBLY PRECAUTIONS 1. Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards. 2. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly and use. 3. Keep the assembly area clean and well-lit. 4. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly. 5. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication. 6. Product capabilities apply to properly and completely assembled products only. 7. For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, please refer to the Assembly Diagram of this manual. Unwrap and separate all parts in a clean work area. Please keep small spare parts out of children's reach. If the cross bar is without slot and the width is less than 6cm, please use the fittings U -screw and C hook. If the width of the cross bar is more than 6cm, and with slot, please use the fittings square-screw. 20 mm T-track Attaching to crossbar: Open up and check the hatchback does not hit the end of the Wheel Tray. Note the mounting distance of the roof bar. -4- U-screw and C hook installation steps 1.1. Put the bike rack on the cross bar and adjust its position. Fig.1.1 1.2. Assemble the spacer into the U-screw as shown(Fig.1.2), put it on the front plate, and turn the tri-wing to tight. Fig.1.2 1.3. Put the C hook into the hole of the rear plate and around the cross bar, use T-screw to connect the C hook across the hole as shown(Fig.1.3). Use the lockable fastener to rotate clockwise until it is a little hard to button up. Use the key to lock. -5- Fig.1.3 2 Square-screw installation steps: 2.1. Put two short square screws in the slot of one bar, and long square screw on the other bar. Adjust its position properly. Fig.2.1 2.2. Put the bike rack on the cross bar according to the position of the screws. Using tri-wing nut to tighten the front plate on the bar. -6- Fig.2.2 2.3. Use the lockable fastener to rotate clockwise until it is a little hard to button up. Use the key to lock. Fig.2.3 Note: When installing on cross bar (width is more than 6cm) please use the rubber pad to cover the nut under the front plate to avoid scratches while installing as shown(Fig.2.4). Fig.2.4 -7- 3 How to install the bike on the rack 3.1. Loosen the wheel belt and open the lockable frame. Fig.3.1 3.2. Put the bike on the rack, adjust the wheel cradle into proper position to catch the wheel as shown. Fig.3.2 3.3. Use the belt around the bike wheel and fasten it, fix the lockable frame on the bike frame, and turn the button clockwise until it up to tight and lock. Fig.3.3 -8- Finish installation Caution -9- Safety information: Check the screws for the first time after driving a short distance and then at regular intervals. Please note that the load on the roof will change the driving properties of your vehicle during braking, in the case of side winds, and when driving around bends. Adjust your driving speed accordingly. in particular, observe the information provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle about the permitted roof loads. Parts of the cycles, such as handlebars or pedals, should not protrude over the edge of the roof. If not needed, the cycle rack should be dismantled for reasons of safety for other road users and the economy (petrol consumption). CAUTION: When the cycle is mounted, note the greater height of your vehicle when entering underground car parks tunnels etc. Before setting off on your journey, always check that the attachments are all correct.
