Firmware Update Procedure
This guide uses firmware update to v2.40 as an example.
1. Installing the firmware update file
Download the ZIP file containing the firmware update file from the H6 download page.

For Windows
2. Extracting the ZIP file
In your file explorer, select the downloaded ZIP file. Access "Compressed Folder Tools" and choose "Extract All" to extract the contents.

3. Copying the firmware update file to an SD card
Copy the “H6SYSTEM.BIN” file to the root directory of an SD card.

2. Opening the downloaded file
After downloading, click "Downloads" at the bottom of the screen. Then, click [open in finder] to open the downloaded file.

3. Copying the firmware update file to an SD card
Copy the "H6SYSTEM.BIN” file to the root directory of an SD card.

Common Procedure for Windows and Mac
4. Insert the SD card into the H6.

NOTE
- Ensure the power is OFF when inserting or removing an SD card to prevent data loss.
- Insert the SD card with the correct end facing upwards.
5. Install new batteries or connect an AC adapter to the H6.
6. While pressing the [play/pause] button, turn the power on.

7. Use the [navigation buttons] to select "Yes", and press the [enter button].

This action initiates the firmware update.
NOTE
- Do not turn off the power or remove the SD card during the firmware update, as this could make the H6 unstartable.
- If the firmware update fails, restart the process from the beginning.
8. After the firmware update completes, turn the power off.
