STEGO HV 031 / HVL 031 Climate Control Heating Units for Enclosures
Application
The STEGO HV 031 and HVL 031 heating units are designed to prevent condensation and maintain optimal temperatures within control cabinets and electrical enclosures. They are suitable for stationary, sealed housings for electrical devices. For models without an integrated thermostat, a suitable external thermostat must be connected in series for temperature regulation. These units are not intended for use as room heaters.
Safety Considerations
Proper installation and usage are crucial for safe operation. Adhere to the following guidelines:
- Installation: Must be performed by qualified electrical personnel only, in compliance with national power supply regulations (IEC 60364) and VDE 0100 safety measures.
- Technical Specifications: Always observe the technical data provided on the unit's type plate.
- User Responsibility: Ensure that components mounted above the air outlet grille are protected from damage by the hot outlet air.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the device to the mains via an all-pole disconnecting device with a contact gap of at least 3 mm when switched off.
- Environment: Do not operate the device in aggressive atmospheric conditions.
- Mounting: Install the unit horizontally with the air outlet directed upwards.
- Contamination: Operate only in environments ensuring contamination class 2 (or better) as per IEC 61010. This means only non-conductive contamination is permitted, though temporary conductivity due to condensation may occur.
- Modifications: No changes or modifications are permitted on the device.
- Damage or Malfunction: If the heating unit shows any visible damage or malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it or put it into operation. Dispose of the unit safely.
- Dismantling: Dismantle the heater only after it has completely cooled down.
Important Warnings:
- CAUTION: The heater must not be mounted on flammable materials such as wood or plastic.
- CAUTION: The heater must ALWAYS be operated together with the fan ? to prevent overheating. DANGER OF OVERHEATING!
- Failure to observe connection values or incorrect polarity can lead to personal injury and equipment damage.
- Surfaces can become hot after commissioning! Risk of injury.
