Technical Limits and Conditions
The roof air conditioner is intended for vehicles with roof thicknesses between 25 mm and 60 mm. It operates within ambient temperatures of -2°C to 52°C and is designed for installation within 10° of the horizontal plane.
Technical Description
The roof air conditioner provides cool or warm, dehumidified air to the vehicle's interior. The FJX4233M model does not have a heating function.
The unit's cooling performance depends on the vehicle type, ambient temperature, and cooling capacity. Cooling is not effective below an outside temperature of 16°C.
Operation is via a control panel or a remote control (on specific models).
List of Models
Models are categorized as mechanical, fixed-speed, and inverter. Features vary by model.
Control Panel
Mechanical Models: A knob is used to select temperature and switch the unit on/off, controlling fan speed in Ventilation mode and cooling intensity in Cooling mode.
Fixed-speed and Inverter Models: Features include power on/standby, temperature adjustment, fan speed control, mode selection (Automatic, Cooling, Heating, Ventilation, Dehumidification, Air Purifier), sleep function, timer, ambient light control, and I Feel function.
Remote Control
The remote control allows operation of various functions including power, mode selection, temperature and fan speed adjustment, timer settings, sleep function, and ambient light control. It displays operational status and battery level.
Air Conditioning Modes
Mechanical Models: Cooling and Ventilation modes.
Fixed-speed and Inverter Models: Automatic, Cooling, Heating, Ventilation, Dehumidification, and Air Purifier modes are available depending on the model.
Additional Functions (Fixed-speed and Inverter Models)
Timer: Allows setting specific on/off times.
Sleep: Reduces noise levels for comfortable sleeping by adjusting fan and compressor speeds.
I Feel: The remote control measures room temperature and adjusts the target temperature accordingly.
So start: Reduces compressor start-up current to prevent generator overload.
Before Initial Use
Check supply voltage and frequency against technical data. Ensure air intake and outlets are clear. Prepare the remote control by inserting batteries. Set the current time if the timer function is to be used.
Operation
Tips for Enhanced Performance: Improve vehicle insulation, select appropriate settings, align air nozzles correctly, and ensure air intakes/outlets are unobstructed.
Basic Operation: Mechanical models have Off, Cooling, and Ventilation modes. Fixed-speed and inverter models have Standby and On modes.
Mechanical Models: Use the knob to select mode (Ventilation or Cooling) and fan speed (Low, Medium, High). Turn clockwise for cooler temperatures.
Fixed-speed and Inverter Models: Use the remote control or control panel buttons to switch on/off, select modes, adjust fan speed (Low, Medium, High, Turbo, Auto), set temperature (16°C - 31°C), set timer, activate sleep and I Feel functions, and control ambient lights.
Replacing Remote Control Batteries: Follow the diagram to replace batteries when indicated.
Regulating Air Supply: Adjust air nozzle slats to direct airflow.
Cleaning the Roof Air Conditioner
NOTICE! Do not use high-pressure cleaners or harsh cleaning agents. Remove debris from air intakes and grilles regularly. Clean housings with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Clean remote control and air distribution box displays with appropriate cloths.
Maintenance
WARNING! Maintenance beyond basic cleaning should only be performed by qualified personnel.
Regular Maintenance: Check condensation water drainage channels. Clean air filters as per model type (mechanical or fixed-speed/inverter).
Annual Maintenance: Have the heat exchanger serviced by a specialist. Check seals and tightening torque of fastening bolts.
Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions for common issues such as poor cooling/heating, low air output, water ingress, unit not switching on/off, and error codes (P0-P9, E0-EA, EE, EL). Contact authorized service for unresolved problems.
Disposal
Dispose of packaging material in recycling bins. Consult local recycling centers or dealers for product disposal regulations. Protect the environment by returning used batteries to collection points.
