A diagram illustrates the lighting distribution, showing center beam foot candles and beam diameter at different distances. At 2 ft, center beam is 43 foot candles with a 7.2 ft diameter. At 4 ft, it's 15 foot candles with a 12 ft diameter. At 6 ft, it's 6.0 foot candles with a 19 ft diameter. At 8 ft, it's 1.7 foot candles with a 36 ft diameter. The beam spread is 100°, and CD @ CB is 386.

INSTALLATION INTO EXISTING RECESSED FIXTURE

NOTE: For use with 5 in. and 6 in. recessed housings (housing sold separately)

1. Turn off the power at the switch and fuse box or circuit breaker. POWER OFF ?
2. Remove the existing trim installed in the recessed housing (if necessary).
3. If applicable, slide the lampholder bracket to its upward maximum position. If necessary, remove the lampholder mounting bracket by removing the wing nut and the lampholder from the bracket, then attach the provided label to the existing luminaire. A diagram shows a close-up of a wing nut and bracket with arrows indicating rotation and upward movement to remove the bracket.
4. Install the medium base adapter into the socket. A diagram shows the medium base adapter being screwed into a socket within the recessed fixture.
5. Connect the two terminals together. A diagram shows two wire connectors being pushed together.
6. Insert the torsion springs into the fixture housing brackets. When installing the product into a 5 in. recessed housing, the torsion spring must be moved. Unscrew the torsion spring from the 6 in. position and move to the 5 in. position. Diagrams illustrate the placement of torsion springs for both 5-inch and 6-inch housings, showing the spring being inserted into the housing brackets.
7. Gently push the product in until it is flush to the ceiling. A diagram shows the downlight unit being pushed upwards into the ceiling until it is flush.

INSTALLATION INTO EXISTING RECESSED FIXTURE WITH COMPATIBLE ORANGE CONNECTORS

NOTE: For use with 5 in. and 6 in. recessed housings (housing sold separately)

1. Turn off the power at the switch and fuse box or circuit breaker. POWER OFF ?
2. Remove the existing trim installed in the recessed housing (if necessary).
3. Discard the medium base adapter.
4. Connect the two terminals together. A diagram shows two wire connectors being pushed together.
5. Insert the torsion springs into the fixture housing brackets. Gently push the product up and torsion springs so they begin to expand and lift the product in place. Diagrams show the downlight unit being pushed upwards, with torsion springs expanding to secure it.
6. Gently push the product in until it is flush to the ceiling. A diagram shows the downlight unit being pushed upwards into the ceiling until it is flush.
