Introduction The 365id Scanner Notifier shows a pop-up notification in the Windows notification tray. It shows an extended result of the last ID document scan. The extended result includes a textual description of the result and when available a link to more information about the scan result. 1. Introduction 2. Application 2. Application The 365id Tray Notifier is based on two applications that must be installed on the local computer. · The 365id Integrations USB Support software that handles the USB connection from the 365id Scanner. It receives the scanned ID document information and scan result from the 365id Scanner via the USB cable and makes it available to other applications on the local computer · The 365id Tray Notifier software gives a notification in the notification field of the local computer that displays the result of the last ID document scan 3. Requirements To use the 365id Tray Notifier a number of requirements must be fulfilled. · 365id Scanner - Version 1.8 or later ( Serial number - underneath the scanner should be 000 008x xxx xxx or higher) · USB cable, male USB A to male USB B · Windows 8 or higher with the latest service pack installed · A service subscription for 365id Tray Notifier. See 4.1 365id Tray Notifier subscription for more information. 3. Requirements 4. Installation The installation process consists of several steps: · 365id Tray Notifier subscription (4.1) · Connect USB Cable (4.2) · Install 365id Integration USB Support software (4.3) · Install 365id Tray Notifier (4.4) 4. Installation 4.1 365id Tray Notifier subscription You must have an activated 365id Tray Notifier subscription to be able to use the service. The USB cable is a standard cable that can be ordered from 365id AB or bought in your local computer store. 4.2 Connect USB Cable Male USB A to male USB B USB cable from 365id Scanner USB to client's workstation 4.3 Install 365id Integration USB Support software 4.3 Install 365id Integration USB Support software The 365id Integration USB Support software will make the information from your 365id Scanner available to applications on your computer including the 365id Tray Notifier. To install the software, download the program below or visit https://365id.com/downloads then proceed to the next slide. Download Program 4.3.1 Install USB Support Instructions Run the installation program (by double-clicking on the downloaded file). You may be presented with a "Windows protected your PC" or a similar dialog. 4.3.1 Install USB Support Instructions If so, click "More info" Then click "Run anyway" 4.3.2 Install USB Support Instructions You may now see a dialog for installing "Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7.2". 4.3.2 Install USB Support Instructions Click "Accept" to continue Click "Next" 4.3.3 Install USB Support Instructions We recommend that you keep the settings shown below as they are, but you are free to change them to your requirements. 4.3.3 Install USB Support Instructions When you're done, click "Next" Click "Next" You may be asked to confirm that the program is allowed to make changes to your hard drive. Once completed, the dialog can be closed by clicking "Close" 4.4 Install 365id Tray Notifier The 365id Tray Notifier is an application that runs on your local computer. It gives a notification in the notification field of the local computer that displays the result of the last scanned document. Normally when there is no new result to be displayed the 365id Tray Notifier applications displays as an icon in the notification tray as shown below 4.4 Install 365id Tray Notifier 4.4.1 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions 4.4.1 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions To install the software, download the program below or visit https://365id.com/downloads then proceed to the next slide. Download Program 4.4.2 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions 4.4.2 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions Run the installation program (by double-clicking on the downloaded file). You may be presented with a "Windows protected your PC" or a similar dialog. If so, click "More info" Then click "Run anyway" 4.4.3 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions Follow the instructions provided by the Setup Wizard shown below. 4.4.3 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions Click "Next" When you're done, click "Next" We recommend that you keep the settings shown above as they are, but you are free to change them to your requirements. 4.4.4 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions Confirm the installation. In any pop-up that asks for permission please allow the installation. 4.4.4 Install 365id Tray Notifier - Instructions Click "Next" The installation is now complete Click "Close" 5. Test the 365id Scanner 5. Test the 365id Scanner Scan a document in the 365id Scanner to test the 365id Tray Notifier The notifier will automatically close after a period of time.
