Analog Console with Photodiode Sensor

Digital Console with Photodiode Sensor

Optical Power Monitor Software

The Optical Power Monitor GUI software allows for power measurement, readout from up to eight power meters, and remote wireless operation. It features a user-friendly design and supports various display modes including simulated analog needle, digital values, line graph, and bar graph. The software is compatible with USB and Bluetooth® connections.

Pulsed Laser Emission: Power and Energy Calculations

Thorlabs provides resources for calculating pulsed laser parameters such as peak pulse power, average power, and pulse energy. These calculations are useful for ensuring compatibility with devices, measuring laser emission without damage, and exciting specific material effects.

Example Calculation: Demonstrates how to determine if a detector is safe for measuring a specific pulsed laser emission based on its peak power.

Recalibration Services

Thorlabs offers traceable recalibration services for their power and energy meter electronics and sensors. These services include:

Recalibration is recommended annually for accurate measurements. Customers can request calibration by completing a Returns Material Authorization (RMA) form or by selecting the appropriate calibration Item # and adding it to their cart.

Recalibration Service Item #s for Sensors:

Recalibration Service Item #s for Consoles:

Thorlabs provides detailed compatibility tables for selecting the correct calibration service Item # based on the sensor or console model.

Sensor Selection

Thorlabs offers four types of sensors:

Selection guides are available based on wavelength (Figure 113G) and optical power range (Figure 113H) to help identify suitable sensor heads.
