WATER FLOW AND PRESSURE · Assure proper water flow and pressure to start unit.
- If unit shows E1, or OVERHEAT or water is above set temperature, please increase water flow (volume) to water heater. - Sometimes the fixtures aerators and shower heads need cleaning
WATER QUALITY · Sediment and Debris:
- This model unit is flow activated. It works with an impeller inside the inlet fitting that spins with water flow. The spinning is what signals the unit to start. It is very common to get build up and clogs in first installations from debris in the water line. - Purge well the water line before connecting to inlet fitting. - If water from well or other source, sediment filter is recommended. - If unit does not start, check if inlet fitting screen is clogged with sediment or sealant and/or if impeller is stuck. - Instructions to clean impeller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXuUNCtSu20 - See Troubleshooting Guide for instructions. · Scale: hard water may corrode and damage heat exchangers, fittings and specially sensors in the tankless water heater. If your water is very hard you may want to consider a water softener to protect your appliances.
FREEZING WEATHER · Do not expose to freezing conditions · If needed, unit may be drained to prevent freezing · Freeze damage is not covered by warranty
