Control Panel Overview

Figure 3: A Schematic View of The Control Panel

The control panel includes:

  • Timing Light: Indicates timer setting.
  • Appointment Light: Indicates reservation setting.
  • Display Window: Shows temperature and time.
  • Mode: Button to cycle through heating modes (Hi, Med, Low, ECO).
  • Power Off: Turns the heater off.
  • Minus [▼]: Decreases temperature or time.
  • ON/OFF: Main power switch.
  • Power Light: Indicates power is on.
  • ECO Light: Indicates ECO mode is active.
  • Anti-frost Light: Indicates anti-frost function is active.
  • Gear Light: Indicates heating gear/mode.
  • Power On: Turns the heater on.
  • Plus [▲]: Increases temperature or time.

Operation

  1. Power On/Standby: Plug in the power cord and turn on the main mechanical switch. The power icon light will illuminate, and the product enters standby mode.
  2. ON/OFF Switch: Acts as the main power switch. After shutdown, the machine remembers the previous state (except for the timer function).
  3. Temperature Setting: In power-on state (without timing), press [up arrow] and [down arrow] to select the set temperature. The setting range is 7-35°C (default 24°C). In Fahrenheit mode, the range is 45-95°F (default 75°F).
  4. Celsius/Fahrenheit Conversion: In power-on state, press and hold the [up arrow] and [down arrow] buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit modes. Both modes have a memory function.
  5. Appointment/Timer: Press the reservation (or timer) button to enter time setting. The reservation lamp (or timer lamp) will flash. Use the [plus] and [minus] keys to adjust the time. Confirmation occurs automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity, or by pressing the confirmation button. The reservation lamp (or timer lamp) will remain continuously lit once set. Scheduled power-on and power-off can be set simultaneously, following a first-confirmation, first-execution principle.
  6. Mode Selection: Press the Mode button to switch heating modes. The default is 'Hi' on first power-on. The sequence is Hi → Med → Low → ECO → Hi, cycling through.
  7. Tipping Function: If the heater tilts less than 30 ± 5 degrees from horizontal, the display will show "Eo", and all outputs will turn off. If it tilts more than 70 ± 5 degrees, the previous working state will be restored.
  8. Anti-frost Function: In standby, if the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F), the mid-range heating automatically turns on. Heating stops when the temperature exceeds 7°C (45°F). When active, the ON/STANDBY key flashes, and the display shows the room temperature.

Supplementary Explanation

1. When the machine is in reservation state, only the reservation mark and time content are displayed. Pressing the 'mode' key or [up/down arrow] keys will display the corresponding mode or adjust temperature, respectively. These functions will exit after 5 seconds of inactivity.

2. If there is no operation for 3 minutes in working state, the screen will automatically dim. Pressing any button will wake the screen. The reservation state does not dim the screen; the reservation icon and remaining time are always visible.

3. If the sensor is short-circuited, "EH" will flash. If open, "EL" will flash.

4. Temperature control logic:

  • When the machine works in ECO mode:
    • If ambient temperature (t) < set temperature (T): Heating is 'Hi'.
    • If ambient temperature (t) = set temperature (T): Heating is 'Hi'.
    • If ambient temperature (t) is between T and T+1: Heating is 'Mid'.
    • If ambient temperature (t) > T+1: Heating is 'Off'.
  • When the machine works in Hi, Med, and Lo modes:
    • If ambient temperature (t) < set temperature (T): Heating is 'Hi/Med/Low' (depending on selected mode).
    • If ambient temperature (t) = set temperature (T): Heating is 'Hi/Med/Low'.
    • If ambient temperature (t) > T+1: Heating is 'Off'.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Avoid scratching or damaging the surface coating to prevent rust.
  2. When not in use for an extended period, clean the electric heater with a soft cloth and store it in the original packing box.

Important Notes

  19. Keep combustible materials such as towels, clothing, bed sheets, bedding, and curtains at least 1 meter away from the heater. Protect furniture from thermal deformation or discoloration.
  20. Ensure there are no obstructions or unstable hanging objects within 1 meter from the top of the heater.
  21. When children are present, supervise them and prevent them from touching the heater to avoid unnecessary damage.
  22. When using the heater, avoid frequent switching of windows and doors, as it affects heating efficiency.
  23. Do not use the heater outdoors.
  24. Keep the product specifications; do not discard them.
