HOW TO CHECK AND TOP OFF YOUR HYDRAULIC FLUID LEVELS:
- Open your dock box, and observe the fluid level in the reservoir, (white tank to the right of the power unit). With your lift in the fully-up (over-center) position, there should be approximately one inch of fluid in the bottom of the reservoir. With the lift in the fully-down position, the reservoir will appear like the diagram to the right with one inch of space between the fluid line and the top.
- Add fluid if needed. Use Basta Boatlifts approved biodegradable hydraulic fluid ONLY. This can be purchased online in the Basta Store or in person at the Basta Factory.
- To add fluid, lower your lift into the fully-down position. IMPORTANT: DO NOT add fluid when the lift is in any other position! Add fluid until the level is approximately one inch away from the top.
- Cycle your lift by fully raising it. Once Raised, you should see an inch or more of fluid in the bottom of the reservoir.
IMPORTANT
ONLY ADD FLUID WITH LIFT IN DOWN POSITION
Hydraulic fluid shown with lift in the DOWN position
A diagram illustrates the hydraulic fluid reservoir with the lift in the DOWN position. The fluid level is shown approximately one inch below the top of the reservoir. The text 'ONE INCH' indicates the correct measurement.
