Volvo prioritizes safety with advanced technologies. Pilot Assist combines Adaptive Cruise Control with lane centering for smoother, less stressful driving, especially in traffic. City Safety identifies vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and large animals, providing warnings and automatic braking to prevent or mitigate collisions. Oncoming Mitigation by Braking, Lane Keeping Aid, Run-Off Road Mitigation, and BLIS™ with Steer Assist further enhance safety. The XC90's safety structure includes a high-strength boron steel safety cage and energy-absorbing deformation zones. The T8 model features regenerative braking for battery charging and can be charged via mains supply or charging stations. The Volvo On Call app provides battery status and scheduling.
