Innova FixAssist 3130f Scan Tool

Follow these steps to retrieve diagnostic codes:

• Connect the Scan Tool to the vehicle's test connector.
• Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. DO NOT start the engine.
• The tool will automatically link to the vehicle's computer.

The Scan Tool retrieves stored codes, Freeze Frame data, and System Status.

Codes, I/M Monitor Status, and Freeze Frame data are displayed on the Scan Tool's screen. System Status is indicated by LED indicators.

If a recommended solution for the "priority" DTC is available, the FixAssist® screen displays recommended inspection and repair actions.

If more than one DTC was retrieved, press and release the [DTC/FF Button] as needed. Freeze Frame Data (if available) will be displayed after the Priority Code by pressing the [DTC/FF Button].

For long code definitions or when viewing Freeze Frame Data, use the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons to view additional information.

To view OEM Enhanced DTCs (if available), press the [SYSTEM Button]. The System menu displays. This mode allows retrieval of OEM enhanced DTCs and Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) DTCs from most Chrysler/Jeep, Ford/Mazda, GM/Isuzu, Honda/Acura, and Toyota/Lexus vehicles.

Place the Scan Tool in "Code Retrieval" mode and start the engine.

Press and release the [LD Button] to enter "Live Data" mode. Real-time Live Data (PID) information supported by the vehicle will be displayed.

While connected to a vehicle, press the [M Button] to display the Main Menu.

Use the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons to highlight "System Tests", then press the [ENTER Button]. The System Test Menu will display.

Use the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons to highlight the desired option, then press the [ENTER Button].

The Scan Tool can perform additional diagnostic tests, including O2 Sensor Test, OBD Monitor Test, and EVAP Leak Test.

While connected to a vehicle, press the [M Button]. The Main Menu displays. Use the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons to highlight "Vehicle Information", then press the [ENTER Button].

You can view vehicle information stored in your vehicle's on-board computer.

From the Main Menu, highlight "DLC Locator" and press the [ENTER Button] to access the DLC Locator. This helps find the Data Link Connector (DLC) for a specified vehicle.

From the Main Menu, highlight "Tool Library" and press the [ENTER Button] to display the Tool Library Menu. From here, you can access libraries of OBD1 and OBD2 DTC definitions, or view definitions and descriptions of I/M MONITOR STATUS icons and SYSTEM STATUS LEDs.

Connect the Scan Tool to the vehicle's test connector. Perform the code retrieval procedure for the system you wish to erase.

Press and release the Scan Tool's [ERASE Button].

• Factory Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) / Factory Recalls: Ensure vehicle compliance with Federal safety standards by reviewing TSBs, Factory Recalls, and Government-mandated NHTSA Safety Recalls.
• Maintenance: View recommended maintenance procedures based on vehicle year, make, model, and mileage, derived from component failure analysis.
• Factory Warranty Information: Check the current status of vehicle warranties (active, expired, transferable).
• Predicted Repairs: Identify components likely to need replacement within the next 12 months based on vehicle details.

1. Link your scan tool to a vehicle and retrieve diagnostic data.
2. Visit www.innova.com, download and install the latest PC-Link software for your scan tool. Select the "Support" tab, then choose "Manuals and Software". Use the drop-down menu to select your tool Category and Model.
3. Connect the scan tool to your PC using a Mini USB cable (included). Your default web browser should launch automatically and connect to www.innova.com.
4. Log in to your RepairSolutions® account using your registered Email Address and Password. If you do not have an account, register for a FREE RepairSolutions® account first.

The Manufacturer warrants to the original purchaser that this unit is free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

If the unit fails within the one (1) year period, it will be repaired or replaced, at the Manufacturer's option, at no charge, when returned prepaid to the Service Center with Proof of Purchase. The sales receipt may be used for this purpose. Installation labor is not covered under this warranty. All replacement parts, whether new or remanufactured, assume as their warranty period only the remaining time of this warranty.

This warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper use, accident, abuse, improper voltage, service, fire, flood, lightning, or other acts of God, or if the product was altered or repaired by anyone other than the Manufacturer's Service Center.
