Introduction
The MAT-TUNER mAT-30 is an automatic antenna tuner designed for seamless integration with modern Yaesu transceivers. It is compatible with Yaesu models supporting FC-30, FC-40, or FC-50 tuners, including popular units like the FT-100, FT-857, FT-897, FT-450D, and FT-891. The tuner operates within the 3MHz to 54MHz range and connects via the transceiver's CAT/LINEAR jack for both control and power, eliminating the need for an external power supply. Tuning is initiated with a simple press of the transceiver's TUNE button.
The mAT-30 offers automatic antenna tuning across the HF spectrum and 6 meters, supporting power levels up to 120 watts. It is capable of matching a wide variety of antennas, including dipoles, verticals, Yagis, and virtually any coax-fed antenna, offering a broad impedance matching range.
Featuring advanced memory tuning with 16,000 memory locations, the mAT-30 recalls previous tuning settings for near-instantaneous adjustments. It learns user preferences over time, adapting to bands and frequencies for optimized performance. The tuner also supports manual tuning cycles when necessary.
