The VarioHeat is engineered for reliable performance in recreational vehicles, offering quick heating and various operating modes controlled via the Truma CP plus VarioHeat control panel. Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the appliance.

  • Gas Safety: Use only LP gas (propane). Never use butane or mixtures with more than 10% butane.
  • Operation: Operate only with a functional LP gas and carbon monoxide detector installed in the RV.
  • Maintenance: Annual inspection by a qualified service technician is recommended.

Operation Overview

The VarioHeat operates using LP gas and a 12 VDC power supply. It features selectable modes for heating and ventilation, automatically adjusting to maintain the desired room temperature. Key components include the VarioHeat unit, the CP plus VarioHeat control panel, room temperature sensor, and exhaust venting system.

Starting the VarioHeat: Ensure LP gas supply is on, 12 VDC power is connected, and the gas shut-off valve is in the 'ON' position. Use the CP plus VarioHeat control panel to start the unit and set the desired temperature.

Shutdown: Switch off the VarioHeat using the control panel. Turn off the LP gas supply at the tank when the unit is not in use or when moving the RV.

Technical Specifications

The VarioHeat utilizes LP gas (propane only) with an inlet pressure of 11-13 in. wc (27.4-32.4 mbar). It offers multiple operating levels with varying BTU/h output and gas consumption rates. Power consumption is approximately 5.4 A at 12 VDC. The unit weighs 17.6 lbs (8.0 kg) without peripheral equipment.

Warranty Information

Truma provides a twelve (12) month limited warranty on the VarioHeat, with an option for an extended warranty upon product registration. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship, provided the product is installed and used according to the provided instructions.
