1. Scope of Delivery
The scope of delivery includes:
- Salind 08
- M2M SIM card (already in place, not interchangeable)

2. Product Description
The Salind 08 features:
- SIM Card: Already in place, not interchangeable.
- SIM Card Slot: Located under the device cover.
- OBD Interface: For connecting to the vehicle's OBD port.

3. Activation
NOTE! To activate, you need the device ID. Please make a note of it before installing your GPS tracker.

4. Startup Operations
Please observe the following points before connecting the device to the vehicle battery:
- The SIM card is already in the Salind 08.
- Ensure no other components of your vehicle are damaged by the attachment.
- The Salind 08 tracker will be connected to the OBD port of your car.

5. Turning On
After successful activation, the Salind 08 can be switched on. By connecting the GPS tracker to the power supply, the device is already switched on.
? NOTE! After connecting and starting the GPS tracker for the first time, it is recommended to move the device for a few minutes. Drive your vehicle a few kilometers so that the device can connect to the best possible network for the initial connection.
6. Use
Once your device has been successfully activated and started, you are ready to track it. Use your phone, tablet, or PC to start tracking in the PAJ GPS FINDER portal. Download the PAJ FINDER portal App or visit the desktop version:

Proper Use
Read these safety instructions for this GPS tracker carefully before using it for the first time to use it properly. The intended use of the GPS Tracker is to locate an object or a living being as described in this manual. It is a criminal offense to monitor third parties using a GPS tracker without their consent. Improper use may result in damage to property or personal injury. The GPS tracker is not a child's toy. Different laws concerning digital positioning and tracking of people, animals, or objects exist in various countries and regions. Salind UG cannot be held responsible for violations of such laws or regulations. The user is solely responsible.
? NOTE! The manufacturer and dealer accept no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
Safety
⚠️ WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
A faulty electrical installation or a mains voltage that is too high can lead to an electric shock. Before use, check the mains voltage of the socket against the information on the rating plate. Connect the mains adapter so that it is easily accessible to quickly disconnect the charging cable in case of a fault. If you notice any visible damage to your GPS tracker or the charging cable, do not use it. Only use the original parts supplied to charge the GPS tracker. If the charging cable is damaged, replace it only with original accessories from the manufacturer. Never place the GPS tracker near flames or hot surfaces. The GPS tracker is not waterproof; use it in dry environments if possible. The charging cable should only be used indoors. Keep it away from moisture and do not bend it. Do not open the housing of the GPS tracker. Leave repair work to qualified specialists. Liability and warranty claims are excluded if repairs are carried out by yourself, or if the GPS tracker is connected improperly or operated incorrectly.
Hazards for Children and Vulnerable People
Do not allow the GPS tracker to be used unsupervised by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, unless they have been instructed beforehand by their responsible person on how to use the appliance. Ensure that children do not handle small parts (e.g., accessories), as these can be swallowed and lead to suffocation.

The Battery
⚠️ WARNING! EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD!
The GPS tracker is powered by a lithium polymer battery, which is not replaceable and must not be removed or opened. Keep the GPS tracker away from heat sources and high temperatures, such as direct sunlight in a vehicle (even when charging). Failure to observe this warning may result in battery destruction, overheating, explosion, and fire. These hazards also exist if you use non-original accessories to charge your device. Do not burn or puncture the GPS tracker. Protect it from mechanical damage. Do not remove, drop, disassemble, or modify the battery with pointed or sharp objects. If a child swallows the battery, seek medical help immediately! For battery replacement, please contact our support team.
⚠️ WARNING! RISK OF CHEMICAL BURNS!
Batteries that leak due to damage can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. Therefore, never open the battery. If the battery leaks, please wear protective gloves.
9. Electromagnetic Compatibility
Please observe all prohibitions and switch off the GPS tracker immediately in dangerous areas or if it can cause interference. It should not be used near medical equipment, fuels, chemicals, or in blasting areas. Mobile devices may cause interference affecting performance. Avoid transformers and very strong magnetic fields, as this may cause transmission deviations.
? NOTE! Failure to observe these recommendations may result in malfunctions or damage to the GPS tracker.
Cleaning
⚠️ WARNING! RISK OF DAMAGE!
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or brushes. Do not clean the GPS tracker with cleaning objects like knives or metal sponges, as this can damage the surface. Never immerse the GPS tracker in water, a dishwasher, or use a steam cleaner. The surface can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure the GPS tracker is wiped completely dry afterwards.
Storage
If you are not going to use the GPS tracker for a long period, switch it off. Place the tracker in its original packaging or a similar-sized box. Protect the tracker from dirt and moisture.

10. Declaration of Conformity

Packaging Disposal
Dispose of the packaging according to type. Throw cardboard and paper into the corresponding container. Foil belongs in the recyclables collection. ♻️
11. Disposal of Used Batteries
This note is addressed to users who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and will not resell them in their original form (end users).
Free Recall of Used Batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries for proper disposal. You can return used batteries to a local collection point or your local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, Salind UG also takes back used batteries, limited to types carried in their range. Used batteries can be returned with sufficient postage or handed in directly to their dispatch warehouse free of charge:

Meaning of the Battery Symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin (?). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury, 0.002% cadmium, or 0.004% lead by mass are also marked with the chemical name of the pollutant (e.g., Cd for cadmium, Pb for lead, Hg for mercury).
12. Instructions for Disposal of Electrical Devices
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains requirements for handling electrical and electronic equipment. Key points are:
- Separate Collection of WEEE: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) must be disposed of separately from unsorted local waste. It does not belong in household waste but in special collection and return systems.
- Batteries and Accumulators: Owners of WEEE must separate spent batteries and accumulators not enclosed in the WEEE before handing them over at a collection point. This does not apply if WEEE is handed over to public waste management authorities and separated there for reuse.
- Options for Returning Old Appliances (WEEE): Owners of WEEE from private households can hand it in to public waste management authorities or collection points set up by manufacturers or distributors. 4. Data Protection: Old equipment may contain sensitive personal data. Users are responsible for deleting data on the equipment before disposal.
5. Meaning of the "Crossed-out Dustbin" Symbol: The ? symbol on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that the device must be separated from unsorted local waste at the end of its service life.
