Quick Setup

Preparation: Ensure you have the BT10A, 19V power supply, passive speakers, and speaker wires or banana plugs.

1. Connect the BT10A to the passive speakers using speaker wires or banana plugs.
2. Connect the 19V power supply to the DC input on the BT10A.
3. Ensure the volume/power switch is in the OFF position before connecting the power supply.
4. Twist the power knob clockwise to turn on the BT10A amplifier.

How to connect the speaker wire?

Method 1: Bare wire connection illustration

1. Release the horn terminals block terminals.
2. Insert the stripped ends of the speaker wire into the amplifier and speaker terminal holes.
3. Tighten the horn terminals securely.

Note: Ensure speaker wires do not touch each other, as the connection area is narrow and can easily cause short circuits, resulting in no sound output.

Method 2: Banana plugs connection illustration

1. Release the banana jacket.
2. Loosen the screw.
3. Insert the speaker wire and tighten the screw.
4. Tighten the banana jacket.
5. Insert the banana plug into the horn terminals of the speaker and amplifier.

Note: Similar to bare wire connections, ensure banana plugs do not touch each other to prevent short circuits.

Bluetooth connection example:

Preparation: Pair your Bluetooth device (e.g., a phone).

1. Install the Bluetooth antenna to the BT10A.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and search for "Fosi Audio" or "Fosi Audio BT10A". After connecting to BT10A, the indicator light will show a blue light.
3. Open your audio application and play music.

3.5mm AUX connection example:

Preparation: Connect an audio source (e.g., a phone) using a 3.5mm AUX cable or a 3.5mm AUX to RCA cable.

1. Connect your phone to the BT10A's AUX interface via a 3.5mm AUX cable.
2. After connecting to BT10A, the indicator light will show a red light.
3. Open your audio application and play music.

Troubleshooting/QA

1. What type of speakers work best with BT10A Amplifier?
   Fosi Audio Amplifiers work great with any 2-8 Ω passive speakers. This amplifier is designed for passive speakers, not for powered speakers or subwoofers.
2. Can I connect a turntable to BT10A amp, why is the volume extremely low?
   If your turntable does not have a built-in preamp, you need to add an external phono preamp before connecting it to the BT10A. If your turntable has a built-in preamp, ensure it is switched on before connecting to the BT10A.
3. Why does my power indicator not light up?
   
   • Please check that the AC power cord is securely connected to the power supply and to an AC power outlet.
   • Verify that the AC power outlet is supplying power; the power LED on the power supply should stay on.
   • Try replacing the power supply with another compatible one (9-24V DC). If the power supply is defective, please contact Fosi Audio for exchange.
4. Why does the sound crackle or produce a lot of electric noise?
   
   • Ensure all cables are fully inserted into the devices; incomplete connections can cause crackling.
   • Remove all inputs and check if the cracking noise disappears. The issue might stem from the audio source or input cables.
   • If you are not using the original factory standard power supply, try replacing it with a different one. Many aftermarket power supplies have high interference coefficients that can cause noise.
5. Can I use headphones with this product?
   No, the BT10A cannot be connected to headphones; it only supports passive speakers.
6. How can I switch between Bluetooth input and AUX input?
   You can connect via Bluetooth or wired input. If Bluetooth is connected, playback from the 3.5mm AUX input is interrupted. To use the AUX input, turn off Bluetooth on your device. Input priority: Bluetooth input > 3.5MM AUX input.
7. Why is there no voice from my amplifier?
   
   • Ensure the power supply cable is connected to the BT10A and the power indicator is on.
   • Confirm the BT10A and your source components are powered on and not set to minimum volume. Replace your source and test again if possible.
   • Check that the wire connections from the audio source to each speaker are correct.
   • Ensure the cable is not loose or damaged; incomplete connections are a common cause of no sound.
   • If Bluetooth is paired and connected, AUX input playback will be interrupted. To use a 3.5mm AUX cable, you must first disable Bluetooth.
8. My Bluetooth device cannot pair with BT10A?
   
   • Ensure the BT10A is powered on.
   • Make sure the BT10A is not paired with other devices.
   • Bring your device closer to the BT10A and ensure there are no obstacles between them, as obstacles can affect Bluetooth range.
   • Try using a different Bluetooth audio source for testing.
   • Reconnect the power supply to the BT10A and try moving the BT10A to a different location.
   • Restart the BT10A and attempt to connect again, possibly using another Bluetooth device.
9. Why is Bluetooth intermittent?
   
   • Try using a different Bluetooth device.
   • Ensure there is no interference from other electronic devices between the BT10A and the audio source.
   • Place your device close to the BT10A.
   • Plug in the power adapter again.
10. How to distinguish Power Switch and Volume Control?
    The power switch knob turns the BT10A on when twisted clockwise once. Adjusting the volume involves turning the volume control knob clockwise.
11. How much power does this use in standby mode? Can this amp be left on all the time?
    This is a Class D amplifier that consumes very little power in standby mode. It can be left connected all the time and is safe to use continuously.
12. Sound quality is not good?
    
    • Ensure all cables are fully connected.
    • Adjust the treble and bass controls on the amplifier to achieve the desired tone.
    • Try changing the sound source and cables to test.
13. Should I unplug the power cord?
    If the item will not be used for a long time, unplug the power cord to prevent potential damage from lightning strikes.
14. Can I bridge channel 1 and channel 2 to get 100watts?
    No, this amplifier cannot be bridged.
15. How can I connect BT10A to TV?

17. Why the sound cuts in and out?
    
    • Try reducing the volume of the sound source.

    • Ensure the positive and negative poles of the speaker output do not touch. Some larger banana plugs can easily touch, causing a short circuit.
18. What is the difference between BT10A and BT20A?
    Fosi Audio BT20A has a maximum power output of 100 Watts*2, while the Fosi Audio BT10A has a maximum power output of 50 Watts*2.
