Adaptive Intelligent Recovery

The thermostat learns how long your system takes to reach the desired temperature and activates heating or cooling earlier to ensure comfort at the scheduled time.

Built-in Compressor Protection

This feature prevents compressor damage from rapid restarts. The compressor waits a few minutes before restarting. During this wait, the display shows "Cool On" (or "Heat On") flashing. The message stops flashing when the safe wait time has elapsed.

Battery Replacement

Batteries are optional for backup power if the thermostat is wired to AC power. If not wired to AC, batteries are required.

Install fresh batteries immediately when the low battery icon appears (approx. 2 months before depletion). Replace batteries annually or before leaving home for over a month, even if the icon isn't displayed.

If batteries are inserted within 2 minutes, time and day settings are retained. Other settings are stored permanently.

Note: Alkaline batteries are recommended.

Battery Replacement Procedure: When the low battery warning appears, carefully pull the thermostat from the wall mount. Insert fresh alkaline AA batteries and reinstall the thermostat.

Alerts

An alert icon [alert-icon] (⚠️) appears on the Home screen for alerts or reminders.

Low Battery Warning

Batteries need replacement when BATT, the [alert-icon] (⚠️), and the battery icon are displayed. If battery power is very low, the backlight is disabled. If critically low, only BATT, the [alert-icon] (⚠️), and the battery icon are shown.

Air Filter Reminder

The [alert-icon] (⚠️) appears on the Home screen. Navigate via Menu to ALRT, then Select to view alerts. The message REPL (REPLACE AIR FILTER) will appear.

The reminder can be snoozed or cleared. Resideo recommends changing the filter before clearing.

Note: Some alerts cannot be snoozed or cleared. Contact a heating and cooling professional if this occurs.

Display is blank

Heating or cooling system does not respond

Temperature settings do not change
