Product Overview
The Falmec Massimo Pro NRS is a high-quality range hood designed for domestic kitchens. It offers efficient ventilation and is available in 30" and 36" models (FNMAS30W6SS / FNMAS36W6SS). The hood features the Silence NRS system for reduced noise levels.
Safety Instructions and Warnings
General Safety: Installation and maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel. Do not use the hood if the power supply cable or other components are damaged. Never attempt repairs yourself. Always use personal protective equipment during installation.
Fire and Electric Shock Prevention: Use the unit only as intended. Switch off power at the service panel before servicing or cleaning. Do not use the hood outdoors or expose it to atmospheric elements. Ensure proper grounding. Use only metal ductwork for exhaust. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Always turn the hood ON when cooking at high heat or flambeing food. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Do not use the hood without metal anti-grease filters.
Specific Warnings: Do not use with solid-state speed control devices. Do not connect to combustion fume discharge pipes. Ensure proper ventilation of the room when using gas appliances. Do not use water on electrical parts. Maximum weight for objects hung on the hood is 3.3 lb (1.5 Kg).

Installation
General: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel following the instructions in this manual and in compliance with local building and fire codes. Ensure the hood is installed at the recommended height from the cooking surface (Dimension 'A' typically between 24"-36" or 610mm-910mm) to optimize performance and prevent damage or fire hazards.
Tools Required: Various tools are needed for installation, including screwdrivers, a ladder, and potentially others as indicated in the diagrams.
Cabinet Cutout: Specific cutout measurements are provided for installation into wall cabinets.
Assembly Steps: The manual details a step-by-step process for assembling and installing the hood, including securing the unit, attaching side elements and frames, installing filters, and connecting ductwork and electrical components.
Electrical Connection: Ensure the power supply is switched off before making any connections. The electrical system must comply with national and local codes, including grounding requirements. Use a properly installed and grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.
Fumes Discharge: For external exhaust hoods, connect the outlet fitting via a pipe to an external output. Ensure the pipe has the correct diameter, a slight downward slope, and a minimum number of bends. Insulate the pipe if it passes through cold environments.
Internal Recirculation (Optional): If using the recirculation model, ensure carbon-zeolite filters are installed. The check valve must not be assembled in this version.
Operation
Turning on the Hood: Switch on the hood at least one minute before cooking to direct fumes and vapors. Leave it on after cooking to ensure complete extraction of vapors and odors. A timer function allows for automatic shut-off after 15 minutes.
Speed Selection:
- 1st Speed: For low-intensity cooking with minimal odors and vapors.
- 2nd Speed: For normal cooking conditions.
- 3rd Speed: For strong odors and vapors.
- 4th Speed: For rapid disposal of odors and vapors (active for a few minutes).
Touch Pushbutton Panel: The panel controls power, fan speed, and lighting. Specific LED indicators denote the operating status.
Radio Control (Optional): The hood can be operated remotely using a radio control. Instructions are provided for code change and association with the hood.
Maintenance
General: Always disconnect power before cleaning or maintenance. Do not use abrasive, acidic, or corrosive detergents. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.
External Surfaces: Clean external surfaces every 15 days using a damp cloth and mild detergent or denatured alcohol. For brushed stainless steel, use recommended cleaning wipes. Avoid excessive moisture near the control panel and lighting.
Internal Surfaces: Do not clean electrical parts or motor components with liquids or solvents.
Metal Anti-Grease Filters: Wash metal filters at least monthly by soaking them in boiling water with detergent for one hour. Do not use corrosive detergents. Dishwasher cleaning is permitted but may cause darkening.
Carbon and Zeolite Filters (Optional): Regenerate zeolite-carbon filters every 18 months by heating them in a domestic oven at 392°F (200°C) for about 1 hour. Replace after 3 years.
Lighting: The hood is equipped with long-life LED spotlights. Replacement instructions are provided.
Disposal After End of Useful Life
Dispose of the appliance as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) according to local regulations. Do not dispose of with regular household waste.
User Warnings
Read all instructions carefully before use. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages resulting from non-compliance with safety warnings. Keep the manual with the appliance for future reference. If the appliance is sold or transferred, ensure the manual is included.
