EtherWAN EasyCell Quick Installation Guide
This guide provides essential steps to quickly set up your EtherWAN EasyCell device.
Before You Begin
- Contact your preferred wireless carrier to obtain a SIM card. You will need the IMEI number found on the side of the box or the bottom of your EasyCell.
- For convenience, an optional Soracom® SIM card (visit www.soracom.io/us) is included, which can be activated with a credit card for immediate online access.
Device Overview
Front View
The front of the device features:
- Power socket (9-30 VDC input)
- Mobile signal strength indication LEDs
- Mobile network type LEDs
- LAN port
- WAN port
Back View
The back of the device features connectors for:
- WiFi antenna connector
- RESET button
- MOBILE antenna connectors (MAIN and AUX)
Installation Steps
SIM Card Installation: Use a needle to push the SIM holder button. Pull out the SIM holder. Insert your SIM card into the holder and slide it back into the EasyCell. Ensure the SIM card is completely flush with the holder. ?
Antenna Connection: Attach the main and auxiliary cellular antennas to the connectors labeled "Mobile". Connect the WiFi antenna to the connector labeled "WiFi". ? ?
Power and Network Connection: Plug in the power adapter (9-30 VDC). Connect your PC to the LAN port using an Ethernet cable. Wait approximately 90 seconds for the device to start up. ? ?
Access Web UI: Open your web browser and navigate to the default IP address:
192.168.1.1
. ?Login: Enter the default USERNAME and PASSWORD found on the label on the bottom of your EasyCell. ?
Set New Password: You will be prompted to set a new password. This password will be used later for registering your EasyCell on HexaCloud. ?
Setup Wizard: The Setup Wizard will guide you through configuring General, LAN, Mobile, Wireless, and HexaCloud settings. ⚙️
HexaCloud Account: Create a free cloud remote management account by visiting www.etherwanhexacloud.com. ☁️
Device Registration: On the HexaCloud platform, create and enter your device name, serial number, LAN MAC address, and the new password you set. Click "SUBMIT". ✔️
You have now completed the installation and cloud management setup for your EasyCell.
