Setup Steps

Follow these steps to connect your camera using the mydlink mobile application:

1. Step 1: Download and Launch the mydlink App

   On your smartphone or tablet, download the mydlink app from your device's app store. The app interface shows the mydlink logo and a QR code for easy download. Once the app is installed, open it. You will be presented with options to 'Create a New Account' or 'Sign In'. New users should tap 'Create a New Account'. Existing users should tap 'Sign In'.

2. Step 2: Add a Device

   After successfully signing in or creating an account, navigate to the 'Add a Device' screen within the app. This section guides you through the process of registering your new camera with your mydlink account.

3. Step 3: Scan the Setup Code

   The app will prompt you to scan the setup code for your camera. This code is usually found on a sticker on the bottom of the DCS-6500LH camera or on its accompanying configuration card. Position your smartphone's camera to scan this code. The app includes a help option: 'Can't find the Setup Code?' and a 'Scan' button.

   The camera itself has a QR code sticker on its base, which serves as the setup code.

4. Step 4: Connect to Power

   Connect the provided power cable to your DCS-6500LH camera. Then, plug the power adapter into a standard electrical wall outlet. The camera will power on automatically, initiating the setup sequence.
