Braun Steam Iron Safety Instructions

Before Use

• Read all instructions carefully and completely before using the appliance.
• Retain instructions for future reference.
• Remove all packaging and labels and dispose of them appropriately.

Important Safety Precautions

• ⚠️ Caution: Hot Surfaces! Electric irons combine high temperatures and hot steam, which can cause burns.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have received instruction on safe use and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
• During operation and cool-down, keep the appliance and its mains cord out of reach of children under 8 years.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
• Always unplug the station/iron before filling with water.
• Use and rest the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
• During ironing pauses, place the iron upright on its heel rest or iron rest, ensuring the heel rest is on a stable surface.
• Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the mains.
• Do not use if dropped, shows visible signs of damage, or leaks. Regularly check cords for damage.
• Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
• This appliance is designed for household use only for normal household quantities.
• Clean all parts before first use or as required, following instructions in the Care and Cleaning section.
• Cords must never come into contact with hot objects, the soleplate, water, or sharp edges.
• Before plugging into a socket, check that your voltage corresponds with the voltage printed on the appliance and that you are using an earthed socket.
• When using an extension cord, ensure it is in good condition, has an earthed plug, and matches the appliance's power rating (16A).
• The soleplate and iron rest can reach very high temperatures that could cause burns. Do not touch them.
• ⚠️ CHOKING HAZARD: The appliance may contain small parts. Handle with care and keep small parts out of children's reach.
• Important: Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam) away from children.

Disposal

Do not dispose of this product with household waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can be arranged through a Braun Service Centre or appropriate local collection points.
