Unpacking your Newline Flex

1. Lay the carton on a flat surface and open the box.

2. Remove the packing materials.

3. Lift the Flex out of the box and set on a flat sturdy surface.

4. Remove remaining packaging materials and setup up in designated area.

Camera Installation
Camera Front Facing Installation: With the camera facing forward, align the USB Type-C Connector and gently push down until fully seated. Use the two thumb screws to secure the modular camera to the Flex.

Camera Rear Facing Installation: With the camera facing to the rear, align the USB Type-C Connector and gently push down until fully seated. Use the two thumb screws to secure the modular camera to the Flex.

Control Description

Power the system On/Off. If the SDM module is installed, the Flex will power

and boot directly to the SDM source. When powered off, the SDM will power down and the Flex will shut down. If a SDM is not installed, the Flex will power

off immediately.

Camera Toggle On/Off

Enable or disable the attached Flex camera. If the camera is disabled, the camera button will turn red and will off when the camera is re-enabled.

Microphone Mute/ Unmute

Enable or disable the integrated Flex microphone array. If the microphone array is disabled, the microphone button will turn red and will off when the microphone is re-enabled.

Volume Down

On-screen volume adjustment indicator will appear when adjusting the volume.

Notes
By default, the SDM source is automatically selected. When other sources are detected, a dialogue box will appear allowing user to switch sources.
When connecting to the line out port, a dialogue box will appear prompting to choose single or double screen mode. In single screen mode, the line out outputs left and right channels, but the embedded speakers will not have any output. In double screen mode, both the embedded speakers and line out will have sound.
When the volume adjustment buttons are pressed, the volume adjustment indicator appears on the screen. The volume can be adjusted and muted / unmuted using the on-screen indicator.
The dynamic USB 3.0 port will automatically switch to any connected device for easy access. The modular camera and integrated microphone will automatically switch to the active source.

Rubber Stopper Installation (Optional)

Rubber Stopper
To install the provided rubber stoppers, fully extend the rear kickstand and apply the self adhesive rubber stoppers under the hinge on both sides of the Flex. The rubber stoppers are an added safety measure allowing users to increase the minimum tilt angle of 10 degrees to 25 degrees in situations that require additional stability.
