Installation Diagram

The installation diagram illustrates the connection between an aftermarket radio, the CRUX SWRAD-55 module, and the vehicle's factory harness. On the right, an "AFTERMARKET RADIO" is depicted with input ports. In the center, the "CRUX SWRAD-55 MODULE" is shown with a "12-Pin Connector". To the left, there are two options for connecting to the vehicle's factory harness: either the "ISO Connectors Harness" or the "QuadLock Connector Harness", indicated by an "OR" symbol. Below the module, "3.5MM SWC CABLES (Option A or B)" are shown, connecting to a "4-Pin Connector" on the module. Option A shows a direct 3.5mm plug, while Option B shows wires that can be cut and connected separately. A note indicates to "Cap or insulate if not being used" for the Blue/Yellow wire.

Detailed wire color codes and their functions are provided:

The diagram also shows the corresponding connections for the aftermarket radio's inputs: Front Left (White), Front Right (Gray), Rear Left (Green), Rear Right (Violet).

DIP Switch Settings

The "AFTERMARKET RADIO DIP SWITCH SETTINGS" table lists aftermarket radio brands and their corresponding DIP switch configurations (DIP# 1, 2, 3). For example, "Atoto, Dual, Fahrenheit, Jensen" requires DIP# 1 ON, 2 ON, 3 ON. "Alpine" requires DIP# 1 OFF, 2 OFF, 3 OFF. A visual representation of the "SWC MODULE DIP SWITCH" with numbered positions 1, 2, 3 is also provided.

Note: For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, check the aftermarket radio's manual to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.

3.5MM SWC Cable Usage

The 3.5MM SWC Cable connects the aftermarket radio's steering wheel control input to the SWRAD-55 module via the module's 4-pin port. If the aftermarket radio uses separate wires for SWC connections (SWC1, SWC2, Ground), the 3.5mm plug on the CRUX SWC Cable (Option B) can be cut off. The wires should then be connected as follows: RED to SWC Key 1, WHITE to SWC Key 2, and SHIELD to SWC Ground. If the radio only has SWC1 and SWC2 inputs, the shield connection is not necessary. The Blue/Yellow wire or the 3.5mm plug should be insulated if not being used.

RCA Connectors Usage

Note: For Bose and Rear Factory Subwoofer systems, connect the Blue wire.
