The NetCore Product Family
The Pronomic NetCore is a versatile multicore system designed to distribute up to four separate signals, such as audio, intercom, or DMX, using a single CAT cable. This system offers a direct 1:1 connection, ensuring signal integrity without the need for active network devices in the signal path. The NetCore series provides a simple yet effective cabling solution for a wide range of applications, from permanent installations to mobile setups at concerts and trade fairs.
Key advantages include a lightweight yet robust construction, practical mounting options for secure use in challenging environments, and full compatibility between all NetCore products, allowing them to be interconnected as needed. Signal transmission is latency-free, utilizing the four wire pairs within a network cable with common shielding.
NetCore systems support all CAT standards from CAT5 to CAT7, provided they are shielded. The low cable thickness facilitates discreet installation, such as under carpets, doors, or within wall joints, without requiring soldering.

Safety Warnings
- WARNING: Indicates hazards that can lead to serious injuries if no precautionary measures are taken.
- NOTE: Indicates general precautions to be observed when handling the product.
General Safety Measures
- Always place the appliance securely on a level surface to avoid injury from falling.
- Do not place devices that can heat up (e.g., lighting equipment, fog machines) on the unit.
- Do not clean with aggressive chemical-based cleaning agents or solvents.
- Keep the unit away from rain and moisture.
- Damage caused by non-compliance with the manual is not covered by warranty.
- Do not bend or twist cables, and do not place objects on them.
- Ensure no objects or liquids enter the unit.
- Protect the unit from hard impacts.
- Avoid tension on cables to prevent short circuits, cable breaks, or unit defects.
Important Information
- Disconnect all devices from the mains before connecting the NetCore unit to other devices to prevent malfunctions or damage.
- Ensure a well-earthed connection for safety and proper function.
- Avoid direct sunlight, proximity to heat-emitting products, and extreme temperatures, as excessive heat can deform or discolor the unit.
- If moving the unit between environments with significantly different temperature or humidity, condensation may form inside. Allow the unit to dry completely for several hours before use to prevent damage or malfunction.
- For daily cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth or one slightly moistened with water. For stubborn dirt, use a cloth with mild, non-abrasive detergent, followed by a dry cloth.
- Handle operating elements, sockets, and connections carefully to avoid defects.
- When connecting/disconnecting cables, grasp the plug, not the cable, to prevent short circuits or cable damage.
- Pack the unit properly for transport to protect it from damage.
Child Supervision
- WARNING: Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Do not leave children unattended.

Connections
- Signal Connections: All are 3-pin XLR connectors (Female, Male, or a combination depending on the model). Signals are fed in via XLR-Female or passed on via XLR-Male.
- INPUT: RJ-45 socket for connecting the network cable from your feed point.
- THRU: RJ-45 socket that carries the signal parallel to the INPUT. It allows forwarding signals to other NetCore boxes. If the INPUT socket has no signal, the THRU socket can be used as an output.
- Ground/Lift Switch: Used to prevent ground loops. For operation in a 19" rack with other units, set to "Ground". If hum is detected in the audio system, switch to "Lift" to potentially resolve issues caused by different earthing potentials.
Areas of Application
As Stagebox and Rackbox
- Connecting multi-channel applications (e.g., delay lines, monitor amp-racks).
- Connecting power amplifiers for stage technology (e.g., line arrays).
- Ancillary connections for in-ear monitors and wireless microphone receivers.
- Connecting mixers and submixers for music production.
- Any application requiring structured wiring.
As Fixed Installation in Buildings
- Connecting studios to rehearsal rooms.
- Use for interpreting equipment, cloakrooms, back offices, and multi-offices.

- DJ stations requiring monitoring signals and stereo sum.
- Conference and multi-room technology for panel discussions, lecterns, and podcasting.
Circuit Diagrams
The following diagrams illustrate the wiring between EtherCON RJ-45 connectors and 3-Pin XLR connectors for specific models:
00089944 Pronomic NetCore SR-3F RJ-45 Rackbox F/F Dual
Channel A and B are identical. The diagram shows the connection from EtherCON (THRU) and EtherCON (INPUT) RJ-45 connectors to 3-Pin XLR Female connectors. Pin 1 of EtherCON connects to Pin 1 of XLR (designated as 1 CH), Pin 2 to Pin 2 (2 CH), and Pin 3 to Pin 3 (3 CH). Pins 4-8 are not used for signal. A ground connection (G) is shown, routed through a switch.
00089925 Pronomic NetCore SR-3M RJ-45 Rackbox M/M Dual
Channel A and B are identical. The diagram shows the connection from EtherCON (THRU) and EtherCON (INPUT) RJ-45 connectors to 3-Pin XLR Male connectors. Pin mapping is consistent: Pin 1 of EtherCON to Pin 1 of XLR (1 CH), Pin 2 to Pin 2 (2 CH), and Pin 3 to Pin 3 (3 CH). Ground (G) is routed through a switch.
00085727 Pronomic NetCore SR-3FM RJ-45 Rackbox F/M Parallel
This diagram covers both the SR-3FM Rackbox and the SB-3FM Stagebox. It illustrates connections from EtherCON (THRU) and EtherCON (INPUT) RJ-45 to both 3-Pin XLR Female and 3-Pin XLR Male connectors. The pin mapping is: EtherCON Pin 1 to XLR Pin 1 (1 CH), EtherCON Pin 2 to XLR Pin 2 (2 CH), and EtherCON Pin 3 to XLR Pin 3 (3 CH). Ground (G) is connected via a switch.
