1. Introduction
The UNI-T UT363 and UT363 BT are stable, safe, and reliable mini digital anemometers. They are widely used in various industries including mining, electric, iron and steel, petrochemical, energy-saving, navigation, fan manufacturing, exhaust ventilation, and sporting. The UT363 BT model additionally features Bluetooth connectivity for enhanced data management.
This operating manual provides essential safety information and warnings. Please read this manual carefully and observe all cautions strictly.

2. Out of the Box
Open the packing box and take out the meter. Please check carefully if any items below are missing or damaged:

3. Operation Safety
- Please check the meter and accessories before use and beware of any damage or abnormal phenomenon. If the case is damaged, the LCD shows nothing, or the meter appears not to work properly, stop using it immediately.
- Observe the operating instructions while measuring.
- Do not open the meter or change internal wiring at will to avoid damages.
- When the LCD displays the low battery symbol [?], replace the battery timely. Remove the battery if the meter is not used for a long time.
- Do not store or use the meter in high temperature, high humidity, flammable, combustible, or strong electromagnetic environments.
- Clean the case with a soft cloth and neutral detergent for maintenance. Do not use grinding agents or solvents to avoid case corrosion or damage.
Warning: Based on the principle of magnetic induction wind speed measurement, the product may be interfered with by strong electromagnetic radiation. Please stay away from such environments when using it.
4. Product Outlook
The product consists of the following main components:
- 1. Wind speed sensor/Temperature Sensor: The rotating vane captures wind speed.

5. Display Interface
The LCD display shows various measurements and status indicators:
- MAX: Maximum measurement indicator.
- AVG HOLD: Average value indicator.
- 88.8.8: Main display area for readings.
- WINDCHILL: Wind chill notification indicator.
- bft: Beaufort scale indicator.
- °C / °F: Temperature unit indicators.
- Units for Wind Speed: m/s (meters per second), km/h (kilometers per hour), ft/min (feet per minute), knots, mph (miles per hour).
- Low Battery Indicator [?]: Appears when battery power is low.
- Data Hold: Indicates when the current reading is held.
- Other Indicators: Specific numbers (1-16) on the display diagram correspond to specific functions or units as detailed in the technical specifications.

6. Key Functions and Setup
The device features several function keys for operation:
- ON/OFF: Short press to turn the device on or off.
- UNIT: Short press to cycle through wind speed units (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph). Long press to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature.
- MAX/AVG: Press to select measurement mode: Maximum (MAX), Average (AVG), or normal value. When MAX is selected, the meter displays the highest reading recorded. When AVG is selected, it displays the average reading.
- HOLD/BL:
- HOLD: Short press to freeze the current measurement. Short press again to resume normal measurement.
- BL (Backlight): Long press to turn the backlight on or off.
- Automatic Shutdown: The device automatically powers off after 5 minutes of inactivity (default setting). To disable this feature, press and hold the "HOLD" key, then press the "ON/OFF" key. The LCD will display "APO OFF" to confirm.
Bluetooth Communication (UT363 BT only)
ON/OFF / Bluetooth communication: Short press to turn on/off. To enter Bluetooth communication mode, long press the power button while the unit is on. Long press again to quit Bluetooth mode.
Bluetooth Icon Status:
- Flashing: Product is not connected with the APP.
- Solid: Product is connected with the APP.
Warning: When in the working state, long press the power button to turn on or off the Bluetooth.

7.5 General Maintenance
Warning: Do not open the meter case to avoid affecting device accuracy or causing damage.
- Maintenance and service should be performed by professional personnel or designated maintenance departments.
- Clean the case periodically with a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive or solvent-based detergents.
7.6 Battery Installation and Replacement
The meter uses 3 x AAA 1.5V batteries.
- Turn the panel down.
- Push the battery cover open in the direction of the arrow.
- Lift the cover and remove old batteries.
- Install new batteries according to polarity indications.
- Use batteries of the same type.
- Close the cover tightly after installation.

8. Bluetooth APP Specification (UT363 BT)
- App Installation: Install the "iENV APP" on your smartphone. Available on the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). You can also download it from www.uni-trend.com.
- Compatibility:
- iOS: Version 8.4 or higher.
- Android: Version 4.3 or higher.
- Bluetooth: Version 4.0 or higher.
- Memory: 1GB or more.
- Connection Process:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the smartphone and the UT363 BT.
- Open the iENV APP and search for Bluetooth devices.
- Select "UT363BT" (or its MAC address like D0:B5:C2:PC:3E:BA) from the list of available devices.
- The Bluetooth icon on the anemometer will stop flashing and remain solid when connected.
