Mounting Instructions
Risk of electric shock! Switch off the voltage before installation. Ensure that the voltage cannot be switched on accidentally.
1. First connect the VARDAFLEX LED strip to a controller and then to the power supply (included in the scope of delivery).
Attention: For current-carrying surfaces, place an insulating layer between the VARDAFLEX LED strip and the surface. Surfaces must be even, free of dust and grease and dry.
- Prepare the surface.
- Shorten the VARDAFLEX LED strip if necessary (refer to diagram).
- Remove the protective foil and press the VARDAFLEX LED strip onto the surface, applying light pressure. Do not press directly on the electronic components.
- Connect the VARDAFLEX LED strip to the power supply.

Shortening the LED Strip
Risk of electric shock! Always switch off the power supply before shortening.
The VARDAFLEX LED strip can be separated after every six LEDs (83.33 mm). Refer to the example diagram for the cutting point.
Diagram Description: An illustration shows the LED strip with a marked cutting point. A micro side cutter or an optional cutter is recommended for cutting LED strips with a narrow pitch.
Wiring Diagram
Diagram Description: The wiring diagram illustrates the connection from a 230 V AC input to a 24 V DC output. It indicates a maximum recommended LED strip length of 10 meters. A note specifies that for one-sided supply, the LED strip can only be operated for a maximum of 5 meters.
Mounting the Connector
Detailed steps with accompanying diagrams illustrate how to attach connectors to the LED strip:
- Step 1: Remove the protective film and adhesive foil on the back of the LED strip in the connector area. Flip up the cover of the short connector side.
- Step 2: Insert the LED strip into the gap provided in the connector, ensuring it sits flush at the back. Fold down the cover again.
- Step 3: Press the cover down. Carefully press the connector together with a tool (e.g., pliers) until a clicking sound is heard. Repeat this step on the other side.
- Step 4: Ensure the plastic cover is not sticking up, confirming the connector is fully closed and the LED strip is correctly contacted.
- Step 5: Insert the cable into the connector, positioning it at the very back and within the two designated notches.
- Step 6: Ensure the LED strip is fully inserted into the feeder, flush at the back. Close the cover again.
- Step 7: Carefully press the connector together in the centre of the cover (e.g., with pliers).
- Step 8: Verify that the connector is fully closed and the LED strip is properly contacted.

Safety Instructions
- Engage a professional electrician for installation. No warranty coverage is provided for any lights installed without observing European safety directives.
- The LED controller is not waterproof. Please protect the controller from direct sunlight and avoid rain. For outdoor installation, ensure the controller is installed in a waterproof housing.
- Always ensure the unit is installed in a location with good ventilation to guarantee correct operating temperature.
- Verify that the voltage and the power adapter are suitable for the controller and that the designation of the anode and cathode matches those of the controller.
- Ensure an appropriate cable cross-section is used for the connection between the controller and the LED.
- Never connect the cables when the power is on. Check that the connections are correct and test for short circuits before switching on the power.
- Please do not carry out any repairs yourself, as this will invalidate the manufacturer's warranty.
