Limited Lifetime Warranty

Progress Lighting fan motors are warranted to the original purchaser against electrical and/or mechanical defects for as long as they own the fan. Pull chain switches, reverse switches, capacitors, and metal finishes are warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase. Warping of wooden/plastic blades, corrosion, or deterioration of finishes for fans installed within ten miles of a sea coast are not covered. Extended warranties may apply for ENERGY STAR® qualified products.

Ceiling fans with built-in LED light sources are warranted for 5 years (single-family residences) or 3 years (multi-family/commercial) against defects causing failure to operate according to specifications. LED bulbs supplied by Progress Lighting carry only the manufacturer's warranty. Non-LED bulbs carry no warranty.

Within 30 days of purchase, defective fans may be returned to the place of purchase for replacement. After 30 days, contact Progress Lighting at (864) 678-1000 for repair or replacement determination. Labor and shipping costs are excluded.

This warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear, alteration, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, operation, repair, or maintenance, including improper voltage, use of improper parts/accessories, unauthorized repair, or failure to maintain the fan.

This warranty states Progress Lighting's entire obligation and the purchaser's sole remedy. Progress Lighting is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages due to product failure.

Some states may have different warranty rights.

Energy Efficient Use of Ceiling Fans

Fan performance and energy savings depend on proper installation and use. Follow these tips for efficient performance:

Choosing the Appropriate Mounting Location

Install fans in the center of the room, at least 10 feet from the floor to the blades and 18 inches from the wall to the blades.

Turn Off When Not in the Room

Ceiling fans cool people, not rooms. Turn off the fan when the room is unoccupied to save energy.

Using the Ceiling Fan Year Round

  • Summer Season: Use the fan clockwise. Airflow creates a wind-chill effect, making you feel cooler. Select a fan speed for a comfortable breeze; lower speeds use less energy.
  • Winter Season: Reverse the motor and operate at low speed counter-clockwise. This produces an updraft, pushing warm ceiling air down. Adjust your thermostat accordingly to save energy and money.

Electrical and Structural Requirements

Your fan requires a grounded electrical supply line of 120 volts AC, 60 Hz, 15 Amp Circuit. Use a fan-rated outlet box, labeled as such, capable of supporting at least 35 lbs (15.9 kg). Ensure the box rating meets fan requirements. Figures 1, 2, and 3 illustrate mounting configurations.

Low-profile use (Figure 1)

A 1/2-inch deep pancake box screws to a joist or block, used if only one cable enters the box. Also available in saddle-mount.

Deep-profile use (Figure 2)

A 2-1/4-inch deep box attaches to blocking between joists and accommodates multiple cables.

Brace use (Figure 3)

This hanger spans between two joists and replaces wooden blocking, used with a deep box.

⚠️ WARNING: Mount fan to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less. Use screws supplied with the outlet box. Most standard light fixture boxes are not acceptable for fan support and may need replacement. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.

If replacing an existing light fixture, turn off power at the main fuse box and remove the fixture.

⚠️ WARNING: Turning off the wall switch is insufficient. Turn off power at the main fuse box before wiring. All wiring must comply with National and Local codes. The fan must be properly grounded.

⚠️ WARNING: Follow all wiring instructions carefully. Any electrical work not described should be done or approved by a licensed electrician.

⚠️ WARNING: Do not operate this fan with a variable (rheostat) wall controller or dimmer switch, as it may damage the fan.
