Working with electricity can be dangerous unless proper safety precautions are taken. If you are not comfortable or are inexperienced with the processes and tools described in this manual, it is recommended to hire a licensed electrician. Installation by a qualified electrician may be required in your area. Refer to your local laws and building codes before performing electrical work; permits and professional installation may be required by law.

Disconnect power to the installation area at your circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Always use caution when handling electrical wiring. Additionally:

Maintaining Your Blink Floodlight Camera

WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Do not expose your device to steam, extreme heat, or cold. For example, do not install your device near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other items that produce heat. Use your device in a location where temperatures remain within the device's operating temperature range set forth in this guide. Your device may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of warming, place your device on a heat-resistant surface.

Your device can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under certain conditions. However, your device is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water. Do not intentionally immerse your device in water. Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your device. Do not expose your device to pressurized water, high-velocity water, or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room). To protect against electric shock, do not place the cord, plug, or device in water or other liquids.

Following periods of extended use, the Blink Floodlight Camera may feel hot to the touch. Please wait 15 minutes after the Blink Floodlight Camera is no longer in use before touching or moving it.

Do not stare directly at the LEDs for more than a few seconds to avoid eye injury.

Use only Blink branded accessories compatible with this product.
