Safe Operation
Warning! The device uses hazardous voltage AC 90-250V. All installation, operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs must adhere to safety rules.
To ensure safe and reliable operation, observe the following:
- Use the device only for its intended purpose.
- Do not use devices showing signs of malfunctioning.
- Avoid strong physical impacts.
- Protect devices and cables from contact with moisture or corrosive liquids.
- Prevent improper disconnection of the Ethernet cable.
- Contact the manufacturer immediately if a fault is detected.

- Features 2 DALI interfaces.
- Does not require an external power supply for DALI.
- Offers a simple web interface for configuration.
- Supports selectable ArtNET/sACN or DMX512 control.
Installation Guide
Warning! Before mounting and powering on, ensure protective ground cable connections are secure.
- Verify protective earthing and cable connections.
- Ensure the device has no damage from transportation.
- Mount the device on a DIN rail.
- Connect the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the DMX line input (if necessary) and DALI lines outputs.
- Connect the power cable.
- After a few seconds, port status LEDs will indicate the device's state.
- Access the device's web interface from a computer on the same network.
- Open the Network Settings tab in the web interface.
- Configure the STATIC IP ADDRESS and SUBNET MASK fields for network settings (default IP: 2.0.0.100, Subnet: 255.0.0.0). Click "Save settings" to apply.
Operation
DALIGate devices initiate normal operation within seconds of being powered up, using the last saved settings. Changes made via the web interface are applied immediately upon saving, without requiring a power cycle.
DALI device control is based on the selected DALI interface conversion mode:
- BROADCAST mode: The START ADDRESS value in the ArtNet/sACN or DMX universe controls all DALI devices on the DALI line.
- GROUP mode: 16 values from the START ADDRESS control DALI groups 0-15.
- INDIVIDUAL mode: 64 values from the START ADDRESS control individual DALI devices 0-63.
Individual DALI device addresses are assigned during a search procedure. After discovery, devices can be individually selected via checkboxes, and group numbers can be assigned to enable group conversion mode.
Web Interface Settings
The DALIGate DIN devices allow configuration of most parameters through their web interface, accessible via HTTP protocol (TCP port 80).
ArtNet Settings
Access ArtNet settings by entering the device's IP address in a web browser. The main settings page will display options for:
- Device Name: Editable device identifier.
- Device Description: Editable description for the device.
- Input Data Protocol: Select between ArtNet, sACN, or DMX512.
- Subnet *16 + Universe: Configure Art-Net subnet (0-15) and universe (0-15) or sACN universe (1-65279).
- Start Address: DMX start address for the channel.
- Conversion Mode: Choose BROADCAST, GROUP, or INDIVIDUAL.
Changes are saved by clicking "Save settings". Default values can be restored with "Set default", and current saved values with "Reset".
DALI Control
To adjust settings for DALI interfaces, select "DALI1 CONTROL" or "DALI2 CONTROL". The "Current DALI Network" section displays discovered devices with their Short Address, Device Type, Group, and a checkbox for individual control.
- Search: Initiates a search for connected DALI devices.
- Refresh: Updates the list of detected devices.
- All devices ON/OFF: Switches all DALI devices on or off.
- Group Management: Options to add or remove devices from specific groups (e.g., ADDR N, GROUP M).
Network Settings
To configure network parameters, navigate to "Network settings". Available settings include:
- MAC address: Hardware and secondary IP address.
- Main IP: Primary network address.
- Subnetwork mask: IP subnet mask.
- Gateway IP address: Network address of the gateway (required for Internet operation).
- Art-Net UDP port: UDP port for ArtNet protocol.
- Static IP address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway: Configurable network parameters.
Remember to click "Save settings" to apply any changes.
Connection Scheme
The DALIGate DIN acts as a central hub for converting control signals to DALI. A typical setup involves:
- Input: Control signals (DMX, ArtNet/sACN) are fed into the DALIGate DIN.
- Output: The DALIGate DIN provides DALI outputs to connect to DALI controllable equipment, such as ballasts or drivers with dimming control.
- Power: The device receives AC power (90-250V).
- Ethernet: An Ethernet connection facilitates ArtNet/sACN input and web interface access.
The device features multiple terminal blocks for DALI lines (DALI 1, DALI 3, DALI 4), a DMX512 input, and an Ethernet port, along with power input terminals (L, N) and a fuse (0.5A).
Technical Maintenance
Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs should only be carried out by qualified service personnel. Ensure the device remains clean, free from dents, and that all connecting cables and wires are intact and securely fastened.
