How to Connect the BLUETTI AC300+B300 to the US Utility Power
This document provides instructions for connecting the BLUETTI AC300 and B300 power stations to the US utility power grid, covering both 120V and 240V configurations.
1. How to Connect One AC300+B300 to the Utility Power for 120 Volt Circuits
When operating a single AC300+B300, the machine type should be set to "Single Phase". This is the correct setting for this configuration.
Required Accessories:
- Manual Transfer Switch (e.g., Reliance 306C Pro/Tran2)
- NEMA L14-30 inlet Box
- NEMA L14 extension cord
- Extension Cord Adapter NEMA TT30-P to L14-30R
Note: Please read the manuals before installing.
Wiring diagram illustrating the connection for a single AC300+B300 unit to US utility power. It shows the flow from the US utility power through a main panel to a NEMA L14-30 inlet, then to a transfer switch (Reliance Pro/TRAN2), and finally to important and unimportant loads. Key connections like common points and LINE terminals are indicated.
2. How to Connect Two AC300+B300 to the Utility Power for 240 Volt Circuits (Split Phase)
To utilize backup power for household 240 Volt Circuits with two AC300+B300 units, a split-phase setup is required.
Required Accessories:
- Manual Transfer Switch (e.g., Reliance 306C Pro/Tran2 for 6 circuits, or Reliance 3010C Pro/Tran2 for 10 circuits)
- NEMA L14 extension cord
- BLUETTI 30A-AC-charging-cable
- BLUETTI FUSION BOX (optional)
- NEMA L14-30R outlet
- NEMA L14-30 inlet Box
Note: Please read the manuals before installing.
Diagram titled 'Split Phase Function' showing two BLUETTI AC300 units, each with a B300 battery, connected in parallel to achieve split-phase output.
Split Phase Function Notes:
- Disconnect AC charging cables for both AC300+B300 units before binding into the split phase box.
- A certified technician is required to build the split phase system.
- The "Machine Type" setting on the screen enables or disables Split Phase output.
- Split-Phase output doubles the available output power, voltage, and capacity by bonding two AC300+B300 units.
- A Fusion Box (P030A) is required for this function (sold separately).
- Only one touchscreen will be active when two AC300+B300 units are connected.
- If one AC300+B300 loses power, the Split Phase Bonding function will deactivate automatically.
Warning: Ensure L1/L2/N wires are correctly placed when charging an AC300+B300 connected into a split phase box to prevent damage.
How to Configure Both AC300+B300 Units:
- Turn off both AC300+B300 units.
- Plug the cables from the Split Fusion Box Pro into the AC300+B300 outlets.
- Connect the communication cables to each AC300+B300 unit.
- Turn on one AC300+B300.
- Click the settings button on the LCD.
- Click "NEXT".
- Select "Single Phase" under Machine Type, then click "Split Phase".
- Click "Master" to set this unit as the primary controller.
- Turn on the second AC300+B300.
- Click the settings button on its LCD.
- Follow steps 6-7: click "NEXT", then "Single Phase", and then "Split Phase".
- Click "Slave" to set this unit as the secondary controller.
Note: Select "Master" to control both units; select "Slave" for the other unit.
Connection Details:
- The "Split Phase" setting is used for connecting two AC300+B300 units (100-120V Version) to create one power system, doubling output power, voltage, and capacity.
- Use the matching BLUETTI AC input cable. The AC input ports of the two machines connect to L1, N, PE and L2, N, PE respectively. Ensure correct phase alignment.
- The AC input plug capacity must be ≥ 30A.
- The AC Input Cable is designed for the Split Phase System, connecting to the NEMA L14-30 socket and the AC input interface of both units via an aviation plug. Ensure correct phase alignment.

WRONG CONNECTION WARNING:
It is forbidden to connect AC300+B300 into a Split Phase System while AC charging is ON. Use the AC Input Cable (Optional Purchase) to charge both power stations in Split Phase System. Incorrect connections can damage the battery and void the warranty.
Connecting to the Transfer Switch:
- In a split phase system, charging can be done via PV or simultaneously via PV and the BLUETTI 30A-AC-charging-cable (not the original AC charging cable).
- Before installing a transfer switch system, plan your appliances for power outages. To maximize power from the split phase system, balance the load between the two phases. Devices consuming significant wattage should be distributed evenly.
