Tech Sinum R-S3 Room Regulator

Product Overview
The R-S3 room regulator is equipped with a temperature and air humidity sensor. Additionally, a floor sensor can be connected to the regulator. Current measurements are displayed on the device and sent to the Sinum Central device, where they can be freely used to create various automations. Communication with the Sinum Central device is done by wire. The regulator can be mounted directly on the wall using the back cover.
IMPORTANT: In situations where the transmission line is long or communication problems occur, termination may be required. In regulators equipped with a switch (5), set it to the ON position in the last regulator on the line, and in position 1 in the remaining regulators. In regulators without a switch, a 120 ohm resistor should be used connected between signals A and B at the end of the line.

Operation
Changing Preset Temperature: Use the navigation buttons (4) to adjust the desired temperature and press the Menu button (2) to confirm. The set temperature will be permanent. If the regulator is assigned to a virtual thermostat in the Sinum Central, you can specify the time range for the set temperature (0-24h, Continuous, or Off) using the navigation buttons and confirm with the Menu button.
Button Lock: Pressing the Menu button (2) activates the button lock function. Use the navigation buttons (4) to select 'yes' or 'no' for automatic lock. Confirm with the Menu button or wait approximately 5 seconds. To unlock the buttons, press and hold the Return (3) and Navigation (4) buttons simultaneously until the padlock icon disappears.
Heating/Cooling Control: Heating or cooling control is enabled after assigning the regulator to a virtual thermostat in the Sinum Central. The display may show:
- Icon (cooling mode): indicates a need for cooling.
- Icon (heating mode): indicates a need for heating.
- No icon: indicates no need for heating or cooling.
Menu Navigation: Hold down the Menu button (2) until the menu options appear. Use the navigation buttons (4) to select options and the Menu button (2) to confirm. Available options include temperature sensor calibration, factory reset, device registration, and software information.
Device Registration and Identification
Registration: Connect the device to the Sinum Central using the SBUS connector (6). Access the Sinum Central via your browser and log in. Navigate to Settings > Devices > SBUS Devices > + > Add device. Briefly press the registration button (1) on the R-S3 regulator. A confirmation message will appear upon successful registration. You can then name the device and assign it to a room. Note: The humidity sensor and floor sensor (if connected) are automatically registered with the regulator.
Identification: To identify the device within the Sinum Central, activate Identification Mode in Settings > Devices > SBUS Devices > + > Identification Mode. Then, press and hold the registration button (1) on the R-S3 regulator for 3-4 seconds. The corresponding device will be highlighted on the screen.
