Introduction to HCHB
Homecare Homebase R2 is a back office application designed to be user-friendly, flexible, and customizable to specific agency needs. It facilitates work prioritization, eliminating delays and guesswork. The Homecare Homebase suite of applications connects all individuals involved in a patient's care circle, improving communication and outcomes. R2 organizes workflow through various consoles, assigning tasks to the appropriate worker in the correct order.
Common Buttons & Icons
- Log On Button
- Represented by an icon depicting a door with an arrow pointing inward. Used to log into the system.
- Logout Button
- Represented by an icon depicting a door with an arrow pointing outward. Used to log out of the system.
- Orb Button
- A circular button, typically featuring the Homecare Homebase logo.
- Quick Access Toolbar
- A horizontal bar with a downward arrow, providing quick access to frequently used functions.
- Clinical Manager Tab
- The tab for managing clinical operations.
- Workflow Console
- Represented by a flowchart icon. Houses all assigned tasks for a user's responsible position. Found under all three Manager tabs.
- Clinical Input Console
- Represented by a plus sign within a circle. Contains the medical records for all clients.
- Order Console
- Represented by a clipboard with a checkmark. Compiles all physician orders for viewing and processing.
- New Referral Console
- Represented by a person icon with a plus sign. Used to add new clients into the system.
- OASIS Console
- Represented by a palm tree icon. Tracks the status of assessments sent to the state.
- HIS Console
- Represented by a house icon with a heart. Tracks the status of assessments sent to the state.
- F2F Console
- Represented by an icon of two people facing each other. Used to track and manage Face-to-Face (F2F) visits.
- PCR Console
- Represented by a document icon with a magnifying glass. The PCR Console.
- Bereavement Tracking Console
- Represented by a heart icon with a ribbon. Used to manage bereavement contacts and tasks.
- IDG Console
- Represented by an icon of three people in a circle. Used to manage Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and tasks.
- Report Manager Console
- Represented by a bar chart icon. Contains all reports and is found under all three Manager tabs.
- Fax Console
- Represented by a fax machine icon. Used to manage and send faxes. Found under all three Manager tabs and only available to agencies with auto-fax purchased.
- Attachment Console
- Represented by a paperclip icon. Houses all scanned paper documents. Found under all three Manager tabs.
- Resource Manager Tab
- The tab for managing resources, represented by a person icon with a gear.
- Scheduling Console
- Represented by a calendar icon. Used to manage client and worker calendars.
- Worker Console
- Represented by a person icon. Used to add and manage workers.
- Non-Visit Activity Console
- Represented by a clock icon. Used to document time not related to a client visit.
- Volunteer Time Console
- Represented by a person icon with a clock. Used to track all volunteer time.
- Address Resolution Console
- Represented by a map pin icon. Used to map and track issues with addresses.
Log On to HCHB
To log on to HCHB from an internet browser:
- Navigate to http://login.hchb.com.
- Enter a user name, then press the Tab key.
- Enter a password, then click the Log On button.
- After logging on, the applications available to the user will display. Click HCHB R2 to view the Home screen.
Log Off of HCHB
To log off from HCHB R2:
- Click the X Close button. A message will ask for confirmation to exit HCHB. Click Yes.
- Alternatively, click the Orb button, then click Logout.
Add a Console Shortcut to the Quick Access Toolbar
To add a console shortcut from HCHB R2:
- Right-click the desired console.
- Click "Add to Quick Access Toolbar". This action adds the console's icon to the Quick Access Toolbar, making it accessible regardless of the active tab.
