Installation

Please read these operating instructions carefully before putting your new appliance into operation. They contain important information for safe use, installation, and care.

Positioning and Connection

Positioning:

  • Place the appliance in a well-ventilated, humidity-free room.
  • Ensure rear fan grills are not obstructed for proper compressor and condenser ventilation and energy saving.
  • Maintain at least 10 cm space above the appliance and at least 5 cm between the sides and furniture/walls.
  • Keep the appliance away from heat sources (direct sunlight, electric stove, etc.).
  • Use the supplied spacers to maintain correct distance from the wall.

Levelling:

  • Install the appliance on a level and rigid floor.
  • Adjust the front feet by tightening or loosening them to ensure the refrigerator is perfectly horizontal.

Electrical Connections:

After transport, place the appliance vertically and wait at least 3 hours before connecting to the mains electricity.

  • Ensure the appliance is earthed and the plug is compliant with the law.
  • The socket must withstand the appliance's maximum power (indicated on the data plate, e.g., 150 W).
  • The voltage must be within the range indicated on the data plate (e.g., 220-240V).
  • The socket must be compatible with the appliance's plug. If incompatible, contact an authorized technician. Do not use extension cords or multiple sockets.

Important: The power supply cable and electrical socket must be easily accessible. The cable must not be bent or compressed. Check the cable regularly and have it replaced by authorized technicians if necessary. The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from failure to observe these safety measures.

Chiller System (No Frost)

The No Frost system circulates cold air continuously to prevent ice and frost formation, maintaining optimal humidity. This preserves food quality and eliminates the need for manual defrosting. Do not block aeration cells by placing food or containers near the back panel. Close bottles and wrap food tightly.

Start-up and Use

Starting the Appliance:

  • Follow installation instructions before starting.
  • Clean compartments and accessories with lukewarm water and bicarbonate before connecting.
  • The appliance has a motor protection system that delays compressor start-up (approx. 8 minutes) and restarts it after power interruptions.

Using the Refrigerator to its Full Potential:

  • Use the REFRIGERATOR OPERATION button to adjust temperature.
  • Press the SUPER COOL button for rapid cooling, useful when adding large quantities of new food.
  • Place only cold or lukewarm foods in the compartment.
  • Cooked foods do not last longer than raw foods.
  • Do not store liquids in open containers to prevent increased humidity and condensation.

Shelves: Removable and height-adjustable for easy storage of large items.

FRUIT and VEGETABLE bin:

This bin is designed to keep fruits and vegetables fresh. Use the humidity regulator: position B for less humid environments (e.g., vegetables), position A for more humid environments (e.g., fruits).

Using the Freezer to its Full Potential:

  • Adjust temperature using the display.
  • Do not re-freeze food that is defrosting or has already been defrosted.
  • Keep fresh food separate from defrosted food.
  • Do not place sealed glass bottles containing liquids in the freezer, as they may break.
  • The maximum daily freezing quantity is indicated on the technical data plate (e.g., Kg/24h: 4).
  • To freeze: press SUPER FREEZE button (blue light illuminates), insert food, and close the door. This function disables automatically after 24 hours or when optimal temperatures are reached.

Important: Do not store oversized food in the upper freezer drawer if it has an 'Ice Device'. Do not open the door during freezing. In case of power cut or malfunction, keep the door closed to maintain temperature for 9-14 hours.

Easy Ice (Ice Maker):

A double tub system designed for efficient freezer space utilization and readily available ice. Trays can be stacked or used separately and can be positioned in the right or left part of the top drawers.

TEMPERATURE Indicator Light:

Used to identify the coldest area in the refrigerator. Check if 'OK' appears clearly on the indicator light. If 'OK' does not appear, the temperature is too high; set a lower temperature and wait approximately 10 hours. Readjust if necessary. Frequent door opening or adding large quantities of food may temporarily prevent 'OK' from showing. Wait at least 10 hours before adjusting the REFRIGERATOR OPERATION knob to a higher setting.

Food Care Zone:

This zone is dedicated to storing fresh food like meat and fish. The low temperature (-2°C to +3°C) allows storage for up to a week without altering nutrients, appearance, or flavour. It's also suitable for healthy defrosting. It is not suitable for fruit, vegetables, or green salad but can be used for fresh dairy products, milk, stuffed pasta, or leftovers.

Maintenance and Care

Switching the Appliance Off:

Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before cleaning or maintenance:

  • Press the FREEZER OPERATION Button and SUPER FREEZE Button simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch off the product.
  • Pull the plug out of the socket.

Note: Failure to follow this procedure may trigger an alarm. To restore normal operation, re-insert the plug, press the specified buttons, and set the desired temperature. To disconnect, repeat steps 1 and 2.

Cleaning the Appliance:

  • Clean external and internal parts, and rubber seals with a sponge soaked in lukewarm water with bicarbonate of soda or neutral soap. Do not use solvents, abrasive products, bleach, or ammonia.
  • Clean removable accessories with warm water and soap/dishwashing liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Dust on the back of the appliance can be removed with a vacuum cleaner hose on medium power. Ensure the appliance is switched off and unplugged.
  • When cleaning drawer slide rails, the automatic closure mechanism may be deactivated. Reactivate by closing the drawer more forcefully.

Avoiding Mould and Unpleasant Odours:

  • The appliance is made with hygienic, odour-free materials. To maintain this, always cover or seal food properly.
  • If switching off for an extended period, clean the inside and leave the doors open.

I Care Function:

This function optimizes energy consumption. To enable, press and hold SUPER COOL and REFRIGERATOR OPERATION buttons simultaneously for at least 6 seconds. Four indicator lights will illuminate for 2 seconds, showing temperature settings. After 5 seconds, the interface enters energy-saving mode with lights off. Press any button to wake the interface. To disable, switch off the product. The function is off when the product is next switched on.

Replacing the Light Bulb

The LED lighting system provides clear visibility. If the LED needs replacement, please contact the Technical Assistance Service.

Precautions and Tips

This appliance is designed and manufactured in compliance with international safety standards. Read the following warnings carefully for safety reasons.

Compliance: This appliance complies with EU Directives: 73/23/EEC (Low Voltage), 89/336/EEC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), 2002/96/CE (WEEE), and relevant Turkish regulations.

General Safety:

  • Designed for domestic use only; not for commercial or industrial use.
  • Must be used by adults only, for storing and freezing food, according to instructions.
  • Do not install outdoors, even in covered areas; exposure to rain/storms is dangerous.
  • Do not touch the appliance with bare feet or wet/moist hands/feet.
  • Do not touch internal cooling elements to avoid skin abrasions or frost burns.
  • Unplug by pulling the plug, not the cable.
  • Switching off does not disconnect all electrical connections.
  • Do not attempt self-repair in case of malfunction; inexperienced repairs can cause injury or further damage.
  • Do not use sharp utensils or electrical equipment (other than recommended) inside frozen food compartments.
  • Do not put ice cubes directly from the freezer into your mouth.
  • Not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Keep packaging material away from children; it can be a choking hazard.

Disposal:

  • Observe local environmental standards for packaging disposal and recycling.
  • The WEEE directive requires separate collection of old electrical appliances to optimize recovery, recycling, and reduce environmental impact. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates this obligation. Contact local authorities or retailers for disposal information.

Respecting and Conserving the Environment:

  • Install in a fresh, well-ventilated room, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Minimize door opening duration and frequency to conserve energy.
  • Do not overfill the appliance; cold air must circulate freely.
  • Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator; this increases internal temperature and compressor workload.

Troubleshooting

Before calling for Assistance, check the following solutions:

Issue: Any indicator lights do not illuminate.

Possible Cause: I Care function not active, plug not inserted correctly, or no power in the house.

Issue: The motor does not start.

Possible Cause: Appliance has a motor protection control (see Start-up and Use).

Issue: Indicator lights are on but dim.

Solution: Pull out and reverse the plug before putting it back in the socket.

Issue: Alarm sounds.

  • a) Door Alarm: Refrigerator door has remained open for more than two minutes. The buzzer stops when the door is shut.
  • b) Freezer Overheating Alarm: Alarm sounds and two blue indicator lights flash. The temperature in the freezer is too high. Check food quality and dispose if necessary. (+ buzzer = Heating is excessive)
  • c) Dangerous Freezer Temperature Alarm: Alarm sounds and two blue indicator lights and one green light flash. The freezer temperature has reached a dangerous level. Food must be disposed of immediately. (+ buzzer = Heating danger)

Note for b/c: In these cases, the freezer will maintain a temperature of about 0°C to prevent food from refreezing. To turn off the acoustic signal, open and close the refrigerator door. To restore normal operation, switch the product off and on using the control panel buttons.

Issue: Refrigerator and freezer do not cool well.

Possible Causes: Doors do not close properly or seals are damaged; doors are opened too frequently; refrigerator or freezer is over-filled.

Issue: Food inside the refrigerator is beginning to freeze.

Possible Causes: Temperature is not adjusted properly; food is too close to the back inside wall of the refrigerator.

Issue: The motor runs continuously.

Possible Causes: SUPER FREEZE button is active (blue light on); door is not closed properly or is opened continuously; outside ambient temperature is very high.

Issue: The appliance makes a lot of noise.

Possible Causes: Appliance not installed on a level surface; installed between vibrating furniture; normal noise from internal refrigerant even when the compressor is off.
