Chapter 3: Riding Your K1
3-1. Operating Device
It takes approximately 3-5 minutes to become comfortable standing and balancing on the device. A spotter can help you feel more secure. The K1 is intuitive and senses slight movements. Avoid anxiety, as it can cause unwanted reactions.
To move in your desired direction, focus on that direction. Your center of gravity will shift, propelling you forward. Your center of gravity controls movement, acceleration, deceleration, and stopping. Tilt your center of gravity in the direction you wish to move.
Note: Stay relaxed and focus on finding your center of gravity to maintain full control of your K1 hoverboard.
Dismounting: From a stopped position, lift one leg and set your foot back down on the ground (stepping back). Then step off completely, one foot at a time.
[Warning Icon] Do not turn suddenly while driving fast, do not ride sideways or turn on a slope. The self-balancing sensors may malfunction and risk your safety.
As you become more comfortable, maneuvering will become easier. At higher speeds, shift your weight to overcome centrifugal force. For bumps or uneven roads, bend your knees.
3-2. Weight and Speed Limitations
- Minimum Weight: 44 lbs (20 kg)
- Maximum Weight: 220 lbs (100 kg)
- Maximum Speed: 10 mph (16 km/h)
3-3. Operating Range
The operating range depends on riding style, terrain, and temperature. Riding at higher speeds or on rough terrain will reduce the distance. The K1 will alert the user when maximum speed is reached; lean the rider slowly back to slow down.
3-4. Balance & Calibration
To calibrate, ensure the device is on a flat surface and powered on. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 4 seconds. The hoverboard will turn on, and the indicator lights will flash. Press the power button twice to complete calibration.
