Installing the Cover
This section describes how to attach the keyboard cover, likely a wrist rest.
- Place the keyboard on a flat surface. Position the cover above the keyboard, aligning it with the front edge. Gently lower the cover onto the keyboard.
- The cover may have clips or a hinge mechanism. Ensure it is properly seated and secured to the keyboard base.
- The cover is now attached, providing ergonomic support.
Connecting Your Keyboard
The G-Tek Cyborg 1000 TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard can connect to your PC in 3 different ways.
Wired Connection
To connect via USB:
- Locate the switch on the back of the keyboard and move it to the wired connection position (indicated by a USB symbol).
- Connect the provided USB cable to the keyboard's USB port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your PC.
- Your keyboard is now ready to use.
The grooves underneath the keyboard are designed for efficient cable management.
Wireless 2.4GHz Connection
To connect wirelessly using the 2.4GHz dongle:
- Remove the Nano Dongle from its storage location on the keyboard (typically the back).
- Plug the Nano Dongle into a USB port on your PC.
- Locate the switch on the back of the keyboard and move it to the wireless connection position (indicated by a wireless symbol).
- Your keyboard is now ready to use.
Bluetooth Connection
To connect via Bluetooth:
- Locate the switch on the back of the keyboard and move it to the Bluetooth connection position.
- Press and hold the Fn + Q keys simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate Bluetooth pairing mode on the keyboard.
- On your PC, search for Bluetooth devices and select the device named "GA-CBKB87TRI".
- Your keyboard is now ready to use.
Key Function and LED Controls
Changing Key Functions Between Windows and Mac OS
To switch the functionality of the Windows and Alt keys between operating systems:
Press the Fn + W keys simultaneously. This will toggle the Windows key to function as the Option key on macOS and the Alt key to function as the Command key on macOS.
FN Key LED Light Controls
The FN key can be used in combination with other keys to control the keyboard's LED lighting:
- Change light mode: Press Fn + Scroll Lock.
- Change light colours: Press Fn + Pause.
- Reset the settings to factory default: Press Fn + Insert.
- Decrease light brightness: Press Fn + Arrow Left.
- Increase light brightness: Press Fn + Arrow Right.
FN Key Multimedia Controls
The FN key can be used in combination with the F1-F12 keys to access multimedia and system functions:
- FN + F1: Decrease monitor brightness
- FN + F2: Increase monitor brightness
- FN + F3: Toggle between Windows
- FN + F4: Show all Windows
- FN + F5: Search
- FN + F6: Switch input method
- FN + F7: Previous track
- FN + F8: Play/Pause track
- FN + F9: Next track
- FN + F10: Mute
- FN + F11: Decrease volume
- FN + F12: Increase volume

Warranty Against Defects
Laser warrants your new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase, provided the product is used in accordance with accompanying recommendations or instructions. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other consumer rights and remedies.
Laser, through its network of retailers and resellers, will provide a refund, repair, or exchange for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period. This warranty does not apply if the defect results from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, neglect, or improper storage. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
How to Make a Product Warranty Claim:
- Find your receipt with the date of purchase. If unavailable, Laser will assess based on the date of manufacture, product condition, and defect type.
- Contact your original place of purchase. They will assess the fault and process a refund or replacement according to their store policy.
- If your original place of purchase cannot be contacted, contact Laser with a description of the fault. Include photos and/or a short video demonstrating the fault for a quicker resolution.
- Laser will review your claim and attempt to troubleshoot and resolve the issue remotely.
- If troubleshooting indicates a fault, Laser will provide instructions for returning the product for assessment. Return shipping will be arranged by Laser at no cost to you if the product needs to be returned within the warranty period.
- Upon receipt, Laser's technicians will assess the product to determine the best resolution.
Laser's goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
