Milk carafe Proper use The milk carafe is used to store milk or alternative milk products in the refrigerator. Only briefly remove the carafe from the refrigerator when preparing a speciality coffee with milk. For your safety Z Do not keep topping up the carafe with milk. Milk that has been in the carafe for too long may be spoiled. Z Keep the container away from sources of heat. Z After preparing the beverage, return the carafe to the refrigerator imme- diately. Getting started E Rinse out the milk container t, the silicone adapter e and the metal tube r thoroughly before using them for the first time. T Insert the metal tube r into the silicone adapter e. E There are two silicone adapters (black and white) supplied as standard to help differentiate between the various milk alternatives. T Insert the silicone adapter e and metal tube r into the special recess in the lid z. T Turn the lid z on the container t. T Open the pivoting cover, add the milk to the container t and close the pivoting cover again. T Insert the milk pipe q with the transparent connector w into the silicone adapter e. Then connect the milk pipe q with your automatic coffee machine. E The milk pipe can be cut to the required size. Cleaning and maintenance E The milk container, the lid with pivoting cover, the silicone adapter and the metal tube are dishwasher safe. The pivoting cover can be carefully lifted off the container. E In the interests of hygiene, we recommend changing the milk pipe on a regular basis (approx. every 3 months). Replacement pipes are available from specialised dealers. 4 Milk carafe T Remove the milk pipe and rinse it thoroughly under running water.
